Who will occupy the land of Israel in Paradise earth?

The Bible teaches that the land of Israel was promised to Jacob and his descendants forever and that the land of Israel will be the center of Gods kingdom on earth.

Afflicted with anti-Semitism the traditional churches developed “Replacement Theology.”  Some early church theologians wrongly concluded that Israel as a people was eternally rejected by God for having rejected Jesus.  The claim is that the church is now spiritual Israel and, as such, has replaced natural Israel.

The King James Version of the Bible is filled with examples where promises to natural Israel are applied to the Christian Church through arbitrary chapter headings.   For example, above Isaiah 59 is added a heading, “The sins of the Jews.”  Yet in the very next chapter, Isaiah 60, the chapter heading added is “Glory of the Church.”

God promised the Land of Israel to Abraham and his descendants forever.  To renege on this agreement would make God a liar.  Yet how do we explain that Abraham was never given the land?

Gen 13:14-17 :  14  And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:  15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.  16  And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.  17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.  (KJV)

Gen 17:1-8:  1  And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him…         7  And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.  8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.  (KJV)

These verses teach that God promised the land to Abraham and his descendants forever.  That’s why we call it the Land of Promise.  If orthodox Christian thinking were correct, we should rename it the Land of Broken Promise.

Notice how verse 7 of Gen. 17 speaks of “the land wherein thou art a stranger.”  Notice also…

Acts 7:5  And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.   (KJV)

Abraham died as a stranger in the land, without receiving an inheritance in it.  This proves Abraham can’t be in heaven.  He’ll be resurrected on earth in God’s kingdom to receive this inheritance with his descendants.

    More on the “Christmas Star”

    Our Readers Ask . . .

    Who Sent the “Star”?

    ▪ Have you seen nativity scenes or plays that depict three kings, or wise men, visiting the newborn baby Jesus as he lay in a manger? According to the story, God used a star to lead them to the stable in Bethlehem. Countless children have even memorized the names of those three kings—Melchior, Caspar, and Baltazar. However, does that popular account match what the Bible actually says? No. In a number of ways, the story is inaccurate.
First, who were those men? In the original Greek, the Bible calls them neither kings nor wise men. They were magi, or astrologers. They were evidently practicers of the pagan art of divination based on the stars. The Bible record reveals neither the names nor the number of those visitors.
Second, when did those men visit? Not when Jesus was a baby in a manger. How do we know that? The Gospel writer Matthew says: “When they went into the house they saw the young child with Mary its mother.” (Matthew 2:11) Note that Jesus was no longer a newborn baby, but a “young child.” Mary and Joseph were no longer spending nights in a stable; rather, they were by then living in a house.
Third, who sent that “star” to lead the astrologers? Religious leaders commonly teach that God sent the “star.” Did he really? Remember, the “star” did not first lead those astrologers to Bethlehem. Rather, it led them to King Herod in Jerusalem. They revealed Jesus’ existence to that jealous and powerful murderer and even gave him strong reason for hating the child who was to become “king of the Jews.” (Matthew 2:2) Craftily, Herod told them to report back to him on the precise location of this child, claiming that he wanted to honor it as well. The “star” then led the astrologers to Joseph and Mary. So the astrologers were on a course that would have doomed the young child had God not intervened. Happily, he did intervene. So enraged was Herod when the astrologers did not report back to him that he ordered all the male children two years of age and younger in and around Bethlehem to be killed.—Matthew 2:16.
Jehovah later referred to Jesus as “my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.” (Matthew 3:17) Consider: Would that loving, righteous Father select pagan astrologers—practicers of an occult art forbidden in his Law—as his messengers? (Deuteronomy 18:10) Would he use a star to lead them to the most dangerous and powerful murderer in the land, bearing a message sure to inflame Herod’s jealous hatred? Would God then use the same star and astrologers to reveal the spot where his helpless son lay?
To illustrate: A good military commander sends his best soldier on a dangerous mission into enemy territory. Would he reveal to the enemy where to find that soldier? Of course not! Likewise, Jehovah sent his Son to this dangerous world. Would He reveal to wicked King Herod where His Son lay as a defenseless child? Never!
Who, then, sent the “star,” or starlike object? Well, who had the greatest interest in seeing the child Jesus put to death, preventing him from growing up and fulfilling his mission on earth? Who seeks to mislead people and promotes lies, violence, and slaughter? Jesus himself identified the “liar and the father of the lie,” the one who “was a manslayer when he began”—Satan the Devil.—John 8:44.

For one I have not mocked Bible Students. I have stated facts. You said that I need to brush up on Bible Student History. Well sweetie my facts come from “Pastor CT Russell: Messenger of Millennial Hope” by the Pastoral Bible Institute and The Herald of Christ’s Kingdom Special Issue of the “Bible Students History”. I have always been one that when I wanted to research something I go to to source. I have never listened to what we say about Bible Students. For example, you stated that Jehovah’s Witnesses are NOT Bible Students. Like I have said before just because we have not kept the name Bible Students does not mean we are not. Like I have also said before LHMM Bible Students follow things that the other Bible Student disagree with. Does that mean they are not Bible Students? Of course not.

Peter (Admin)- I have responded what are you talking about?

Also JWs don’t criticize BS like you have stated. Most don’t know you exist. Hey like most of the world.

Plus what I mean as they didn’t know who they were I meant the leaders in Rome but they knew of them. Like I said BS aren’t well known.

You stated “Then what was that bright light in the sky that heralded Christ’s birth if not a star? Our God does use the stars. Not as the astrologists do, that is wrong, but he uses them none the less. The stars and constellations are even mentioned in Scripture. Just one more bad argument.”

Is it a bad argument? Or is it lack of the readers intelligence. You are right. Jehovah doesn’t use astrology. Christendom including Bible Students still believe that Jehovah used the star to guide the magi. This is an error. Jehovah always used angels to deliver a messages. Then who sent that “star” to lead the astrologers?

So you see the star was of Satan. So no the Great Pyramid that uses Astrology is not of God.

I have always gone to the source to research something. When I studied Mormonism I have always used their materials. never what we have written on it.

So why don’t you believe that JWs are Bible Students? That Book that you have read or just skimmed through is very accurate. I have all of the WT resources and have used it to look up what we say. We are Bible Students of the Watchtower, you are Russelites (No offense)

    • Chris,

–“For one I have not mocked Bible Students. I have always been one that when I wanted to research something I go to to source.”

Your mocking has been evident. To try and back out by stating you only stated “facts” does not wash. You seem to try and back up your statements only by quoting Br. Russell. As if that gives truth to the statement. I notice a lot of JW’s do this when the argument is not in their favor. He has been gone a long time now and the Bible Student movement has more history since then.

If you would read more current stories of persecution of Bible Students such as “The Sky Through Bars” you would know what I mean. But to limit your “History” to just that in Br. Russell’s day is disingenuous. But not believing in the FACT that Bible Students have continued since the days when Ruthorford “TOOK OVER” the movement is a statement in itself.

Oh, and only my Grandmothers (quite a few years ago) called me sweetie and meant it. Coming from you it sounds more like the mocking you so graciously deny.

–“Also JWs don’t criticize BS like you have stated.”
Really? Almost all of your posts criticize the Bible Students. And don’t hide behind “it’s just the facts”. That does not wash for those who know the truth of the situation and are not “told” what to believe by a GB.

      –“Most don’t know you exist.”
And why is that? Revisionist history has made that possible.

    Peter,
The reason that we have been bashed by bible students is because we vary from what Pastor Russell taught. So why not say “they don’t believe what the Bible teaches.” Why says “They deviate from the teachings of our Dear Pastor. I have the book Pastor Russell, the history of the Bible Students. The have a section in there. It has a lot of disdain for us. We don’t believe in the Great Pyramid because a lot of the evidence for it is used in Astrology i.e Dragon Star, Pleadies Constalation, Turned toward certain stars. We recognize that God needs no stone witness. I have read all of the books about Pyramidology and i can see where you are coming from. But when I read the Nov 15 and Dec 1 1925 magazine of the Watch Tower and Herald of Christ’s Presence, I say that Brother Rutherford was right. I have many different publications of the Bible Students because they fascinate me. jehovah does not use astrology to advance his purpose and does not need to have his subject do so either. I can definitely see where they come from. But some of the stuff i disagree with.

  • Chris

You stated that I quoted that no one knows who the Bible Student are. This is correct. When someone comes to your door or hands you a tract many think Mormon or JW. Now we know from Issue 7 of the Bible Students Monthly that Mormonism is false. You claim that you’re in many countries and the work you do is more reaching than other. Couldn’t we say this also go the Iglesia ni Christo? They began in 1914 and they are all over the world too. In fact their church is near my house. Does this make them true as well. No!!

    1. You stated that when people speak of Jehovah’s Witnesses it is usually in the negative light. Um isn’t this what happened in the days and following days of Christ death? Jesus said “If they hate you remember that they hated me first.” They hate us because we don’t believe in the trinity, we don’t believe in hell and we believe the doctrine of 144,000. Jesus said that his true followers would be persecuted. JW’s were in concentration camps, we are banned all over the word (Look at JW.org for this) and we have been lynched. Jesus said that we would be delivered up to courts. We are currently in courts and just won in Russia. We have been killed and even shot. What can you say of the Bible students other than people mock you. If I went to someone right now that I was a Bible Students they would say “Whats that.” Sure it gives you a reason to explain but we are “taken out for his name.” (Acts 15:14) Bible Student’s still use erroneous translations of the bible that hides who God is by saying LORD. Sure the American Standard Version uses Jehovah but still promotes Trinitarianism. You said you aren’t all in their faces about it. Neither was Paul or other Christians but they knew who they were.

    2. As you you saying that you offer literature in non threatening ways. Last I’ve checked we never held anyone at gun point.

    3. You said you proclaim the good news instead of an organization. Ok. Next time someone of us comes to you door, listen to how many times they promote an organization. You won’t. We will usually say only God’s Kingdom will fix all the bad in the world.

    4. You stated that we say that Bible Students are a myth not to be talked about. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!?!?! Every edition of the Watchtower Study Edition has history from CT Russells Day. We just had a release of a new book called “God’s Kingdom Rules” and 60% of it is from Bible Student’s Day. Russell is the first 20% of the book. Where do you get your information? Our Kingdom Hall library has the study in the scriptures books. The Watchtower just built a whole section in service to early Bible Students. Yes we are Bible Students. Just because we changed our name doesn’t means we aren’t. The LHMM believes differently then the Dawn bible students but they aren’t accused of anything.I’ve brought the Study in the Scriptures book and read it in the Kingdom Hall. My elders thought it was neat. I love False stories about us.

    5. Catholics are in most countries are the true too? No. Jehovah said his name will be spread to all ends of the earth. jehovah’s Witnesses are doing the greatest work of this that is possible. Sure other churches are out there but your publications still call jehovah lord still hiding for the most part who he is.

I think your are misinformed about what goes on in the WT. You ever had a good friends who made you mad and when you talked about it you exaggerated and really said some things. People get mad when they are disfellowshipped and they say things. I have seen the Elders handbook for judicial discipline. It never has what these ex-JW’s say it does. I know many Bible Students exist and my elders have mentioned it. we have said things about 1975 end-0f-the-world times and we don’t hide it. We move on. CT Russell said that 1914 would be she n we would go to heaven. (And you can’t deny that because I have the articles.” Many Bible Students left too because of this.

And yes they are divided. There are many schisms that disagree. For example, do you believe in all of the types that Brother Paul SL Johnson has said. Of course not. So they vary from you. Yo may come together but who is making these doctrinal decisions and interpretations? Just because it is not organized doesn’t mean it differs from the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

    • Okay, you need to study up a little bit more on history of Bible Students. I have many books about the persecution of Bible Students in eastern Europe. Persecution does not entitle one to claim anything. If that were the case Israel wins hands down but you deny them too don’t you. I have read the news articles about JW’s in the courts recently. Are you saying you are proud of this?

–“You said you aren’t all in their faces about it. Neither was Paul or other Christians but they knew who they were.”
Really? We as Bible Students know who we are. So, moot point.

–” What can you say of the Bible students other than people mock you.”
Only the JW’s have done this in my personal experience. As you have just done. I have been told by many people that I talk to what a wonderful message the Bible Students have. Hard core Trinitarians disagree but I am sure you run into that yourself. Again false argument, moot point.

–” jehovah does not use astrology to advance his purpose and does not need to have his subject do so either.”
Then what was that bright light in the sky that heralded Christ’s birth if not a star? Our God does use the stars. Not as the astrologists do, that is wrong, but he uses them none the less. The stars and constellations are even mentioned in Scripture. Just one more bad argument.

As for the Bible Students being worldwide, I did not state that that is a reason to believe they are the real Church, I stated it to prove that we are worldwide and cannot be brushed aside as you try to do.

–“We just had a release of a new book called “God’s Kingdom Rules” and 60% of it is from Bible Student’s Day.”
Yes, I have read the book. It is damage control at its best. Rebranding the JW’s to be the Bible Students is its purpose. Through information control they are trying to saving face. If what you have stated in your posts about Bible Students is how you believe, why on earth would you want anything to do with us. It even has certain facts pertaining to the history of Bible Students wrong. (see article on this site)

I am no expert on the use of Jehovah by the JW’s. I know this to be His name and revere it. I even proclaim it. Although Jehovah is an improper translation. I, on the other hand, don’t USE it to the point it is cliche in the minds of those I am proclaiming it to. His name is Holy. It should be respected and not thrown all over the place. This is just my opinion mind you. I do not disrespect you for your beliefs. I have read the NWT Bible and would like to put one on my shelf next to all of my translations. What we have of the Scriptures are all translations, which is why I have taken the time to study Biblical Hebrew. I do like the NWT for the most part. It has some prejudices in it as all the translations do. No problem if you study the Scriptures honestly.

      Got to go now,
      So, In Christ,
      Chuck

  • Chris

Heres fair. Since you are more versed than I am. You pick a topic about the Bible Students and I will discuss it with you

    • Chris,
I will start out with this quote by you.
—“No one even knows who the bible students are. But they know who the JWs are. And we are spreading the word like no other.”
The Bible Students are reaching more people now than ever since Br. Russell’s day. The Internet and printed Literature have been major reasons for this. As individuals we ALL spread the Gospel to most people that we meet in non threatening ways and with love. We promote the “Good News” not our “organization” which could explain why “no one knows of us”. We don’t toot our own horn.
Yes, a lot of people DO know about the JW’s and most conversation about them is negative. This is a sad statement. I wish it were not true.
It is my understanding from talking with ex-JW’s that the Bible Students as a movement still alive since Br. Russell’s day is taught to be a myth or not talked about at all. Information control is a strong control mechanism. The claim that the JW’s ARE the Bible Students of old is just not true. Look around you. The Bible Students are everywhere and in most countries also.

      Anyway, awaiting your comments.
      In Christ,
      Chuck

    • Peter K. (admin)

Chris – Along the lines of what Chuck is saying, you seen to have misconceptions about Bible Students. Yes, there are many Bible Student groups, but we are not divided. We meet together. That is why we are called the International Bible Students Association. For example at the General Convention this summer, there were brethren meeting together from:

      The Dawn
      The Herald
      The Divine Plan Foundation
      The Chicago Bible Students
      Etc.

The fact that we have stuck together for the past hundred years without a central governing authority, is evidence to me that our association is being directed by our head Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

You implied that we are following Russell (not thinking for ourselves) and not progessing. Here is why I think that is a bad arguement. The real issue is, what does the Bible teach. If you disagree with a doctrinal position we take, the best way to disprove us is by presenting scriptural evidence. We will not respond by quoting Brother Russell. We will respond by quoting scriptures.

  • Chris

    Hello,
One of the misconceptions is that people who have been burned by the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses is that they will state that they have been thrown out for questioning the Governing Body. This is not true. Many have gone into a Kingdom Hall and have been telling things that they believe and try to purposely divide Jehovah’s people. That’s when disfellowshipping occurs. Russell did says “Beware of Organization” so that’s what Bible Students do. They try to stay Autonomous. But look what’s happened. There are A LOT of different factions of Bible Students. Some of the Laymens House Missionary Movement teach from Paul SL Johnson’s teachings. Autonomy eventually leads to divisions and the teaching drift away. The Church of Christ’s (Which do not use music in church and claim it is a salvation issue) is autonomous and some do use music. So now their church is divided.

Bible students love to stick to their pastor just like the Mormons do for Joseph Smith.
Charles Taze Russell stated on page 23 of the Divine Plan of the Ages that many have halted in the teachings of their favorite leaders. This is also what Bible Students have done. Many of the Bible Students in the past have thought of Russell as the “Faithful and Wise Steward.” He said beware of Organization which is why they don’t believe in the WTB&TS. But CT Russell also said celebrating Christmas is ok. But we know from Scriptures that Christmas Displeases God. But many still celebrate it because they know that CT Russell allowed it. If he was here today then he would have eventually condemned it and the Bible Students would follow. Jesus said that the Good new of the kingdom will be preached. No one even knows who the bible students are. But they know who the JWs are. And we are spreading the word like no other.

Many bible students are weary of what the JWs teach. For example, we believe that Adam will not be resurrected. However we are not dogmatic about it. But we do know from scriptures that Adam made a willing and deliberate choice to disobey. The bible says “Adam was not deceived” 1 Tim 2:14. Now it is not up to us to say who will and won’t be resurrected. But we can be sure Jesus does.

The heavy reliance of the Bible Students on Russell leaves them frozen in time. Not progressing in the light “until the day it is firmly established” (Prov 4:18).

For example the. Great Pyramid. The Bible alone is a witness to God. Astrology is condemned in the Bible. However, in the Great Pyramid. Massages and Pyramidology books it is stated that the time of the building of the pyramid can be traced to when the Dragon Star shines down a passage. This sounds cool and all but why would Jehovah use a star to be able to interpret such things? He doesn’t. There is so much paganism in the Bible Students Sect and divisions between the different Bible students. I too read all about the great pyramid and it’s symbol isms. I have the Pyramidology books by Adam Rutherford and Great Pyramid Passages and Studies in the Scriprures book 3 and was awed by it. However, I also read what Rutherford said in the 1928 Watch Tower about it and it made more sense.

Light progresses until the “day day sin firmly established”. That day did not come in 1914 or by Russels death in 1916. It’s still moving forward. Many people who loved truth still taught error such as the 2nd Adventists and Martin Luther. So Russels teaching are not flawless. They can still be refined. I have every WT from 1879-1949. I’ve read them.

Chris – Thanks. I noticed you have not responded to Chuck yet. When people continue to comment on our site, we do expect them to respond when challenged. Otherwise it is not fair to continue to criticize if you cannot defend your point of view.

It was interesting hearing all your various criticisms of Bible Students. I’ll tell you what. How about if you pick just one specific point that you disagree with us on. Let’s discuss it. You can present your evidence from the Bible on that one point, then I and/or others will respond. Thanks for visiting and sharing.

  • Chris

Yes Replacement Theology is true. The one thing that I have noticed about Bible Students is they fear from deviating from what Pastor Russell says because they fear that he may be false. Replacement Theology is true. The Bible says that those who reject Christ reject the father.

Luke 10:16- “Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”

How can the Jews who reject Jesus be God’s Chosen People? Simple. They can’t.

Here’s what Jesus said about the Jew’s.

Luke 13:33-35: “34”O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, just as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not have it! 35″Behold, your house is left to you desolate; and I say to you, you will not see Me until the time comes when you say, ‘BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!'”

    Here is the Biggie.

    Romans 9:6
“Well then, has God failed to fulfill his promise to Israel? No, for not all who are born into the nation of Israel are truly members of God’s people!

These are a mix of Spirtual Jews and Natural Jews who converted to Christianity.

Jews reject Jesus. They don’t keep all of the Law anymore. So how can they be chosen? They aren’t!! To reject Jesus is to reject Jehovah. They are spiritual jews not natural jews. And there are tribes listed in the Bible for the 144,000 that never existed.

    • Brettstone

      Chris-
I think naybe you are not familiar with all the Bible Students theology. They teach the same as the witnesses as regards the “Bride class” 144,000, that is that these are made of both natural jews and gentiles. They recognize that the 144,000 are spiritual isreal, that is not of the flesh but of the spirit. The Bible students teach that natural Isreal has rejected the Christ and they lost out on that oppertunity but Jehovahs promise to them was to time indefinite that he would restore them to the land promised and this will take place during the 1,000 year rule of Christ.

Read Romans 8:25 For I do not want you to be unaware of this sacred secret, brothers, so that you do not become wise in your own eyes: A partial dulling of senses has come upon Israel until the full number of people of the nations has come in,26 and in this manner all Israelwill be saved. Just as it is written: “The deliverer will come out of Zion and turn away ungodly practices from Jacob. 27 And this is my covenant with them, when I take their sins away.” 28 True, with respect to the good news, they are enemies for your sakes; but with respect to God’s choosing, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. 29 For the gifts and the calling of God are not things he will regret. 30

    • Chuck Maly

      Chris,
      You stated:
“The one thing that I have noticed about Bible Students is they fear from deviating from what Pastor Russell says because they fear that he may be false.”
      Where have you noticed this?

I am relatively new to being a Bible Student (ten years ). What I have noticed is the open discussion we all have on ALL subjects. When I have a different take on something, it is looked into and studied. I am not told what to believe.

Now , from my experience, I can state the following rather confidently.
The one thing that I have noticed about Jehovah’s Witnesses is that they fear from deviating from what the Governing Body says because they fear that they may be reprimanded. (By that governing body).

Which group is kept together through love and which through fear?
I have my opinion of course. I am open to hear yours.

      In Christ,
      Chuck

  • humbleman

Hi Amy i have just finished discussing this with my father. we both agree there is no way ALL ISRAEL IS THE CHURCH. here is what the society has to say.

About 23 years after the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ, the apostle Paul quoted parts of Isaiah 59:20, 21 as having a fulfillment in Christian times. He comments: “Just as it is written: ‘The deliverer will come out of Zion and turn away ungodly practices from Jacob. And this is the covenant on my part with them, when I take their sins away.’” (Rom. 11:26, 27, in line with the Greek Septuagint Version) The apostle Paul locates the completion of the prophecy’s fulfillment at the future time when the full membership of the Kingdom class under Jesus Christ is made up, namely, 144,000 members. These are antitypical Israelites, spiritual Israelites, who are in a new covenant with Jehovah God. They are like a fixed number of branches in a symbolic olive tree. (Rom. 11:17-26) God’s time for this final fulfillment is upon us!

here is what the bible says

25For I do not want YOU, brothers, to be ignorant of this sacred secret, in order for YOU not to be discreet in your own eyes: that a dulling of sensibilities has happened in part to Israel until the full number of people of the nations has come in, 26and in this manner all Israel will be saved. Just as it is written: “The deliverer will come out of Zion and turn away ungodly practices from Jacob. 27And this is the covenant on my part with them, when I take their sins away.” 28True, with reference to the good news they are enemies for YOUR sakes, but with reference to [God’s] choosing they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. 29For the gifts and the calling of God are not things he will regret.

the bible is a two edged sword ?

  • amy hall

They also said that God is only going to take 144,000 witness’s with him to “rule over mankind” in the new millenium. EXCUSE ME? I told them that is a bald face false lie. The 144,000 are Jews by blood who will preach Christ to the world. Why? Because most Jews know several languages, most Jews know their bible, and I have not met one Jewish Jehovah witness! They hate your antisemitism beliefs, and so do I. You guys are going to be thrown into the tribulation for your goat like antisemitism.

Not long ago, I invited two Jehovah witness’ into my house. The one “more learned” one, (the other guy didn’t even know the bible at all), started by asking me if I thought the “Church” was corrupt these days? I said, “Yes”, he said, “Why do you think that is?” I told him, “Because Satan has infiltrated it.” He said, “You’re right.” Then he said, “And the Jews lost their salvation when they “killed Christ”, and we are the replacements for those Jews. This is exactly what he said. I said, “God is not done with the Jews!” He could see that I was up on my bible studies, and I saw a look of defeat in his eyes. They left and I got iron gates put up on my house. This is what they believe, practice, and preadh!

Amy hello. When I was a witness a bible study was shocked when I said the same thing. It haunted me until I found studies in the scriptures and it all came back to me from my youth about the literal Jews in prophecy. As a JW I only knew certain scriptures. I thought I knew the Bible. All I knew was how to make an exit if the person objected. Whenever I stayed for the discussion I ended up learning just as much from the householder as they did from me. When I acknowledged it once the CO reprimanded me for thanking the person for insight.
While studying the Isaiah book in book study in 2004 I realized this was the real natural Jews. If not, we as witnesses had sinned greatly. I never went to another book study again because of this missapplication of scripture.
