“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our afflictions so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-5
In the Bible Paul describes God as the “God of all comfort” and the “Father of mercies”. Is God’s comfort and mercy for all people or just for Christians?

God’s promised comfort and mercy is for all, but his comfort has two parts. In his letter to the Corinthians, Paul explains the purpose of God’s comfort. The first, being for Christians is to prepare them for the second; the great work of comforting others in God’s Kingdom. As Christians share in the afflictions of Jesus Christ, following in his footsteps, so they also share in the comfort that Jesus received from his Father. Allowing Christians this suffering and comfort proves the sincerity of their faith while enlarging their hearts to truly bless others now, but especially in the God-promised, blessed future.

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away and there is no longer any sea. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men and He shall dwell among them and they shall be His people and God Himself shall be among them and He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes and there shall no longer be any death there shall no longer be any mourning or crying, or pain, the first things have passed away. And He who sits on the throne said, Behold, I am making all things new.” Revelation 21:1-5

The writers of the Bible prophesied of the day when God will wipe away the tears from all eyes, when He will be revealed as the God of all people and when death, sorrow and pain will all be destroyed. John the Revelator describes this as the time of “the new heavens and the new earth”, when all things will be made new. Making all things new is pictured as the work of the adorned bride (the Christian Church) and her husband (Jesus Christ). All of the troubles of this life will be completely done away, replaced by overflowing blessings! All relationships broken by death or other trouble will be healed as Jesus calls all forth from the grave. John 5:28, 29

Today we live in a world of great fear, turmoil and loss. People all over the world are looking for a just and loving society that will bless all and endure, a golden age for mankind. The purpose of this website is to point to God’s promises, which far surpass the highest blessings of which man can conceive of that golden age.

We hope and pray that the thoughts and booklet downloads on this site will be a blessing to this end.

“Like the compassion of a father for his children, Is the compassion of the Lord, for them who revere him.” Psalm 103:13
