Anointed Talk

Welcome all Anointed Jehovah’s Witnesses and those who would like to talk with you!

Anointed Talk is a place for the Anointed of Jehovah’s Witnesses to talk to each other and for others of us to get a chance to talk to you.  And why not?  We have been told that no one else is listening to you.  Is this true?   The The Watchtower, 5/15/00, p. 11 says, “anointed Witnesses of Jehovah have been blessed with insight, enabling them to understand…”  (See complete quote below).  Yet to what avail is this special insight?  Does the Governing Body care what the Anointed have to say?  Do they ask for the opinion and spiritual insight of the anointed?  Sadly, we are getting reports from Anointed JWs, indicating they are being disrespected, ridiculed and made fun of.  They tell us that they are even being discouraged from partaking of the memorial.  Is it true that the elders and others just don’t believe that those who claim they are anointed really are?  That they do not respect insights of those claiming to be anointed?  Are the anointed who express a different point of view labeled an Apostate?  Is what we are hearing true?  Is this the norm or just unusual examples coming our way?

Why doesn’t the Governing Body consult the anointed?  Why aren’t they interested in their opinion?  Why is the Watchtower writing department adding more writers that are not anointed?  Are the Anointed a perceived threat to the power structure that must be diminished?  After all, shouldn’t JWs being looking to the anointed for spiritual guidance as opposed to Elders, Circuit Overseers and District Overseers?  Is the JW power structure trying to minimize and belittle their influence?  Is this really all just about power and who is in control?

We are not trying to incite the Anointed to rise up and rebel and fight the system.  The Lord’s anointed are a humble and meek people.  Yet we understand that if anyone expresses a difference of opinion, whether anointed or not, they are in danger of being labeled an apostate.   So, how then can the anointed be in any position to provide spiritual insights.  If it is only to tell everyone else to follow the organization, then couldn’t any JW member do that?  So then of what value are the anointed in the JW Organization?  It only seems to make sense that elders and leaders in the JW organization would desire, in humility, to look to the anointed for spiritual guidance.

What do you think?  What is really going on.  Let us know what you think.  This is a place to talk.  We want to hear from everyone, but especially from the anointed ones, whether presently JWs or whether you have been driven out of the organization.  Please enlighten us and tell us the truth of what is happening.  Here you can talk to each other and help each other out.

Full quote:  “Daniel 12:4 states: “As for you, O Daniel, make secret the words and seal up the book, until the time of the end. Many will rove about, and the true knowledge will become abundant.” Much of what Daniel wrote was made secret and sealed up to human understanding for centuries. But what about today?

6 In this time of the end, many faithful Christians have ‘roved about’ in the pages of God’s Word, the Bible. The result? With Jehovah’s blessing on their efforts, true knowledge has become abundant. For instance, anointed Witnesses of Jehovah have been blessed with insight, enabling them to understand that Jesus Christ became heavenly King in the year 1914. In keeping with the apostle’s words recorded at 2 Peter 1:19-21, such anointed ones and their loyal companions are ‘paying attention to the prophetic word’ and are absolutely certain that this is the time of the end.” – “The Watchtower, 5/15/00, p. 11.

I came across this text by chance, and I feel the need to at least say something. As one of the 144,000 and part of Jehovah’s organization.

The anointed have special insight, and special guidance from above. They can talk openly with friends about themselves and encourage others.

But I do not agree that the anointed ones should be involved in the system and that the organization should be led by them.

Many anointed ones do not have the quality to lead an organization, nor do they want to… It was like that in the first century and it is like that today.

Nor do they have ambitions “to be asked something”.

Their main task is to endure all trials to the end and receive the crown of incorruptibility. Everything else is less important.

Duka – It is nice to hear from you. Yes I understand that there are different parts of the body of Christ (1 Cor 12) and that not all those anointed with the holy spirit are gifted to be the best leaders or teachers, even though promised insights (John 16:13). The New Testament Early Church did not have a dynamic of the anointed being a rare minority. However, we see that would be the case during the Dark Ages when the wheat and tares were mixed together (Matt 13). Who writes the Watchtower Magazine today? Are they anointed?

I would encourage you to share scriptural thoughts or questions that might engage us in friendly Bible discussion together. Is there any topic of interest you would like to discuss?

Well, I didn’t plan to get into the debate, but I’ll tell you my position.

If I were to “advance” in this organization all the way to the government body. I would be sorry if members of the assembly, or people who are not JS – accuse and slander, and think that I am not appointed by God. And I know and am sure that I am, because Jehovah is leading me with his spirit.

They are primarily my brothers, comrades, I believe they are guided by the same spirit as me. Jehovah’s spirit. I also believe Brother Russell was exposed to the same leadership and spirit that I was. Also Rutherford, Knorr, etc. etc.

Here I am also thinking of Peter, Pavle, Jakov… We are all guided by the same spirit. The same testimony that cannot be shaken.

I will not quote the Bible on purpose. Why? Because Christ’s disciples in the first century did not have a Bible or explanations of biblical texts. However, they were all held together by the spirit of God, the same hope and spirit guided them.

It is the same today. If one has the spirit of God, one does not need “perfect biblical explanations”.

And if someone does not have the Spirit, his perfect understanding of the Bible is in vain. Satan knows the biblical teachings perfectly, so what?

Thanks Duka for sharing your insight. Yes, those who have the Holy Spirit know it, as you do.

Romans 8:16 (kjv) “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God”

It is nice having you on the site. If you want to discuss any topic of interest, please feel free to do so. I enjoy the discussion and try not to make it a debate.

Jehovah so loves the 🌎 world. What does the Bible mean let us make man in our image. Christ and God made man. First God created then Christ leads mankind to be one family. Jehovah created. Christ makes u.s.

Genesis 1:27 (AV) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 9:6 (AV) Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

I think Genesis 9:6 supports the view that God created man in God’s moral image.

  • The January 2020 issue of the Watchtower had this to say about anointed JW’s

    https://www.jw.org/en/library/magazines … -with-you/

7 Anointed Christians do not feel that they should spend time only with other anointed ones, as if they were members of an exclusive club. They do not search out other anointed ones, hoping to discuss their anointing with them or to form private groups for Bible study. (Gal. 1:15-17) The congregation would not be united if anointed ones did those things. They would be working against the holy spirit, which helps God’s people to have peace and unity.—Rom. 16:17, 18.

One wonders what they are afraid of? It use to be that such warnings were only given to the rank and file, but if those who profess to be anointed start to study and seek each other out, they may come to other conclusions. The Holy Spirit may lead them to see Biblical beliefs not taught by the Governing Body, who now claim they and they alone are the Faithful and Discreet Slave Class.

Rolando – Thanks for your comments on the January Watchtower study issue. I noticed the article lists many of the evidences of spirit begettal (anointing) then warns the reader that this is not proof of anointing. To me, the article implies that there is nothing special about the anointed ones. Of course not. That would challenge the organization power structure. Of course anointed ones would desire to study with other anointed brethren to have a deeper and more insightful study of the scriptures as led by the Holy Spirit. I have heard of JWs who will not partake for fear of negative reaction by some in the congregation. Of course some elders and overseers would not want the anointed to present a challenge to their authority, even if indirectly from the anointed and with humility. Since the Bible does not authorize a denomination or organization to control the congregation, the anointed would do well to meet and study together, except of course for fear of persecution.

Three or four years ago there was a WT study article that stated that annointed should not form private groups. That same article also warned (or should that be commanded) the rank and file not to ask how they knew they were of the anointed. I attended the meeting when that article was being studied and it took all of the self control I could muster not to roll my eyes.

Governing Body doesn’t have your fears. It is a safety protection for all. My wife and I had a anointed sister and her daughter stay with us 3 weeks. They were from about 2,000 miles away. They came to help their relative with a second child. We new the husband and he asked if they could stay. We said yes. We were busy in our life they were busy in theirs. Dont remember the anointed ones name but remember her daughters.
