Anointed Talk

Welcome all Anointed Jehovah’s Witnesses and those who would like to talk with you!

Anointed Talk is a place for the Anointed of Jehovah’s Witnesses to talk to each other and for others of us to get a chance to talk to you.  And why not?  We have been told that no one else is listening to you.  Is this true?   The The Watchtower, 5/15/00, p. 11 says, “anointed Witnesses of Jehovah have been blessed with insight, enabling them to understand…”  (See complete quote below).  Yet to what avail is this special insight?  Does the Governing Body care what the Anointed have to say?  Do they ask for the opinion and spiritual insight of the anointed?  Sadly, we are getting reports from Anointed JWs, indicating they are being disrespected, ridiculed and made fun of.  They tell us that they are even being discouraged from partaking of the memorial.  Is it true that the elders and others just don’t believe that those who claim they are anointed really are?  That they do not respect insights of those claiming to be anointed?  Are the anointed who express a different point of view labeled an Apostate?  Is what we are hearing true?  Is this the norm or just unusual examples coming our way?

Why doesn’t the Governing Body consult the anointed?  Why aren’t they interested in their opinion?  Why is the Watchtower writing department adding more writers that are not anointed?  Are the Anointed a perceived threat to the power structure that must be diminished?  After all, shouldn’t JWs being looking to the anointed for spiritual guidance as opposed to Elders, Circuit Overseers and District Overseers?  Is the JW power structure trying to minimize and belittle their influence?  Is this really all just about power and who is in control?

We are not trying to incite the Anointed to rise up and rebel and fight the system.  The Lord’s anointed are a humble and meek people.  Yet we understand that if anyone expresses a difference of opinion, whether anointed or not, they are in danger of being labeled an apostate.   So, how then can the anointed be in any position to provide spiritual insights.  If it is only to tell everyone else to follow the organization, then couldn’t any JW member do that?  So then of what value are the anointed in the JW Organization?  It only seems to make sense that elders and leaders in the JW organization would desire, in humility, to look to the anointed for spiritual guidance.

What do you think?  What is really going on.  Let us know what you think.  This is a place to talk.  We want to hear from everyone, but especially from the anointed ones, whether presently JWs or whether you have been driven out of the organization.  Please enlighten us and tell us the truth of what is happening.  Here you can talk to each other and help each other out.

Full quote:  “Daniel 12:4 states: “As for you, O Daniel, make secret the words and seal up the book, until the time of the end. Many will rove about, and the true knowledge will become abundant.” Much of what Daniel wrote was made secret and sealed up to human understanding for centuries. But what about today?

6 In this time of the end, many faithful Christians have ‘roved about’ in the pages of God’s Word, the Bible. The result? With Jehovah’s blessing on their efforts, true knowledge has become abundant. For instance, anointed Witnesses of Jehovah have been blessed with insight, enabling them to understand that Jesus Christ became heavenly King in the year 1914. In keeping with the apostle’s words recorded at 2 Peter 1:19-21, such anointed ones and their loyal companions are ‘paying attention to the prophetic word’ and are absolutely certain that this is the time of the end.” – “The Watchtower, 5/15/00, p. 11.

    Peace.

Perhaps you all could share where and when you
were sealed with holy spirit. How you felt, what
physical manifestations there were [if any], and
what was going through your minds.

True Truthseeker – I would like to share my thoughts by or before the weekend. In the meantime, let me say that some mistake strong emotions as evidence they were sealed with the Holy Spirit. There is no doubt that strong emotions of devotion and love for Jesus and the Heavenly Father should be in those who are filled with the spirit. I think this link will be of great help on the subject.

    • Jacqueline

True Truthseeker Peace to you also. I would love to comment also but My family is locked in long emails the last 5 days. It is a pivotal point as my family is speaking out about my leaving the JW, their father and I are taking a beating . I am very busy responding to family members from all sides. Maybe this is by Divine providence. I will join the conversation when our family struggle is over. But welcome.

Storisea you might not agree with me, but you dont have to.. in fact, you should keep your thinking now, and approach Jehovah about the matter.. Not the brothers or sisters.. although Jehovah can work through them as well. If your faith is strong and you defend the faith, may Jehovah and Jesus prove to be with you, If your heart is right, or if it’s wrong, Approach the Father, For I have strong conviction, as strong as the Apostles of the first Century, that Amongst me are the true Christians who really are trying to Please Jeaus and Ultimately, Jehovah. I can say this with conviction and Can truly put my life any my lineage on the line, that we really are trying to seek truth, the way the apostles of old did it.. Mind you it was actually more difficult for them since the whole bible was not written in their time. Eventhough they had visible evidence that the holy spirit was there, it was still a hard road to follow. i hope you find our words as comofort, and truth.. if i offended you storisea, I dont want to upset you, but i have told you the truth, and i cannot appologize for speaking the truth.

  • Michael S.

Storisea, I used to be like yourself, defending what I love, Jehovah’s Witnesses. and i couldnt believe the ‘apostasy’ that people were saying on websites. In my old congregation if you told any faithful brother or sister you were on the websites, depending on who that person is, You could have an elder give you reproach for being online looking.. To the JW’s this is a Porn site.. i mean really. to those who are searching for truth, this is a site that is Earnestly seeking for Jehovah and his son, Christ Jesus. i’ve talked to the moderators of this website, and i can assure you, there not apostates, or trying to make us bash the watchtower organization, rather, i can agree with them when I say i SHUN the way some websites demonize the watchtower, and that is just as false and wayward as a person who would switch from one bad habit to another. Did you know there is a religion formed just on bashing the Jw’s theres groups that meet for study, but it’s main purpose is to just be a “AA for JW’s” thats pretty much what they call themselves.. and i think thats wrong too.. But this site is different. You must recall these are the Orginial Bible students from when C.T Russell made discoveries. Of course, we Love all our brethren, even C.T. Russell. But we love Jesus, and Jehovah more. For when the accurate knowledge of the scriptures and holy spirit is upon you and given to you. it is like a gift. it is like someone gave you a present nicely giftwrapped, when you read the card attached you know the words expressed in the card and it’s the way that it is written and YOU KNOW that is from your Father. Even growing up as a children, we all know things that are given to us by our parents.. But this gift if from our heavely father. when you open the gift.. It’s NOTHING like you expected.. infact much greater, but yet simpler than you ever imagined. i could go on for hours about my personal connection to our creators. But storisea, you have to read in here and contact these individuals who are talking on this message board. You must pray to jehovah through christ, you must ask Our Lord if this is truth.. and you will “taste and see that jehovah is real.”

Hi Michael and thanks for commenting I am just reading everyone’s thoughts. Storisea can talk to us Wednesday on the Bible Study phone hook-up. All info is on this web-site. Defence, Denial, Acceptance are some of the steps I went through myself. After that will come a sense of contentment with trials. This is where sometime we shrink back. I am enjoying listen to your comments and others as I read them out loud to let them go in my head twice. Take care Michael and talk to you soon.

  • Michael stovall

Wow. I have A lot to say let me get to another computer amd I will address some things myself. I was a jw since birth..

  • John Stoutenburg

Reply to Storisea; Thank you for commenting on my experiences with J.W.s after receiving the anointing to the upward call.I can tell you love Jehovah and are upset by any remarks made that seem to trash Watchtower Society and it’s direct representatives. At first it may seem I’m slandering, but everything I said was true.I myself remember giving cash donations to a circuit overseer I had a big fight with over organizational “policy”. And around !973 my boss(a brother who had a large janitorial business in Northern California)took the Circuit Overseer to the most expensive clothing store in our city where he bought him the most expensive 2 pairs of oxford shoes and 3 expensive suits.I knew my boss very well at that time and I can’t judge what his real motives were, but yes there were gifts made to these men. Why not ask your current C.O. if he is allowed to accept donations? As for Jehovah’s name, I don’t want to see it dragged thru the mud either.I love Him and tho I have brought reproach upon Him by my bad conduct before,I feel the guilt deeply,I feel the Watchtower Society today has been heaping huge piles of False teaching and Pharisee-like “laws” upon the membership;resulting in the loss of thousands of the children of the Witnesses to drugs and immorality and a desire to “escape”. And I know personally of many Witness parents that put their children out onto the street when they “rebelled” against W.T. policies. In our own family my nieces were both shunned and put out of the home; One became a hooker and both have drug addiction issues to this day. Their is just no room for aid to problem teens. After the scarey elders meet with these kids and warn of disfellowshipping;they get in trouble again(which kids will do),then they WILL NOT go back to the elders again but either run away from home or the “truth” or both! I raised 5 kids Storisea and was very sensitive and crushed by things I saw in the 40 years I lived with Jehovah’s Witnesses. You got onto me for getting my feelings hurt because of the scorn heaped upon me by fellow brothers and sisters when I started partaking. When people in the religious order you’re in show disgust and envy toward you, yeah it hurts. But I’m a big boy and I took it for a while. But after a while you realize they are not anointed to that call;are not your brothers anyway,so I just resigned and continued my own research. One of the most important scriptures I discovered was 1 John 2:26″ And as for you,the anointing that you received from him remains in you and you do not need anyone to be teaching you;but as the anointing from him is teaching you about all things, and is true and is no lie,and just as it has taught you, remain in union with him.” This is holy scripture that I have experienced for years now.Since I am unshackled from the W.T. I have been able to learn many wonderful truths from the Bible and come to know much more about how loving and merciful and kind Jehovah and Jesus really are.I just wish I could relive my life and do it over having the knowledge I’ve gained.I wish you the best in your life and worship,Storisea, but it’s never going to be easy Satan and the imperfections and selfishness of man are a daily obstacle. This group of Bible Students in the short time I have been fellowshipping with them has shown remarkable insight into the scriptures and have reached out to me with their hearts and time to welcome and give comfort.God knows ,I needed it because I have been so lonely for Christian association with fellow worshipers of Jehovah and especially who have the all-consuming belief I have of the heavenly call. Thanks again all for listening and responding(good or bad) to my comments.

John for some reason your comment got lost but I found it in other files. Hello and thanks for commenting.

    • Jirka (George)

      Hi John
It is nice to read that some one love scripture 1 John 2:26,27 as much as I do.
John it is hard enough to fight invisible Satan and his demons, but when you get all J.w and the wife against you also, than this scriptures give you confidence and faith, that 9000000 j.w are wrong and you are right.
      Thank you George.

      • Jacqueline

Hi George, I will call John and let him know he has a post. Welcome. John can you say some words of encouragement for some dear ones that have had their family turn against them very harshly.
What about your experience that helped you be so positive. (your comment comes across as an adjusted and calm person). Anything you say will comfort a few people that are on this site. Trust me the prayers and words are needed for quite a few.
One poster named Jubal on this site has been knocked down flat since an elder relative used the most profane and discouraging speech toward him. This elder was not known to the family he was born of an affair. When Jubal found out years ago he drove a thousand miles to welcome him. Most or all of the relatives including the JW ones distanced themselves from him including Jubal elder brother.
Now this man has vellified the only person that came to his aid and behaved as a Christian some 25 years ago when he was a young man looking for his father. He needs encouragement.
We have at least 3 others who’s name I will not mention that needs the kind words to make it thru disowning by one’s JW family with harshness and language designed to kill the spirit.
I will call John now to have him read your post to him. In The love of Christ, Jacqueline.

#1 Anointed, and the regular congregation do not mingle with disfellowshipped ones.
(1 Corinthians 15:33) Do not be misled. Bad associations spoil useful habits.

#2 We also do not sit in on bible study of other religious faiths called interfaith.

Exodus 34:12-17) Watch yourself that you do not conclude a covenant with the inhabitants of the land to which you are going, for fear it may prove itself a snare in your midst. 13 But their altars YOU people are to pull down, and their sacred pillars YOU are to shatter, and their sacred poles YOU are to cut down. 14 For you must not prostrate yourself to another god, because Jehovah, whose name is Jealous, he is a jealous God; 15 for fear that you may conclude a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, as they will certainly have immoral intercourse with their gods and sacrifice to their gods, and someone will be certain to invite you, and you will certainly eat some of his sacrifice. 16 Then you will have to take some of their daughters for your sons, and their daughters will be certain to have immoral intercourse with their gods and make your sons have immoral intercourse with their gods. 17 “You must not make molten idol gods for yourself.

#3 I think this goes without saying.

(Leviticus 18:28-30) Then the land will not vomit YOU out for YOUR defiling it the same way as it will certainly vomit the nations out who were before YOU. 29 In case anyone does any of all these detestable things, then the souls doing them must be cut off from among their people. 30 And YOU must keep YOUR obligation to me not to carry on any of the detestable customs that have been carried on before YOU, that YOU may not make yourselves unclean by them. I am Jehovah YOUR God.’”

    • Tulsigirl

My dear Storisea, I really appreciate all your comments. Since you are so in-tune with the teachings of the Watchtower Organization, I’m sure you know of their strong encouragement to stay OFF of any websites. I’m not even talking just of religious sites but any kind of computer generated sites. So you must be searching. Having been a JW for almost 30 years before I chose to leave, I understand so much of what you have said. And so much of what you say was “hard-wired” into my psyche. I really had no faults with the organization when I left. Circumstances in my life were such that I did NOT want to bring “reproach” on the organization so I wrote a letter of disassociation. It wasn’t until a few years later I had my spiritual fire re-ignited. I started to re-evaluate some of that “hard-wiring” in my head. I use to use the same scriptures you use so well. All taught with precision by the society. But since I was never encouraged to ask questions or make any statements in contradiction to their teachings, I did not really know “the truth.” I’d like to ask you a question (which I know you’ll want to answer since you are so “spiritually feisty”). When was the last time you went to a Watchtower study or a book study and asked a question that was NOT printed at the bottom of the page? Well, geez, you don’t even ask those, the conductor (or whatever the elder is called these days) does. When you go to class at school, aren’t you encouraged to ask questions? Then why doesn’t the Society encourage members to ask questions during the meetings if they really want to teach the “REAL” truth and not the “truth” as the Society sees it? Being raised a Catholic until I was baptized as a Witness, I know what it is to be told by an “all-knowing” leader (the Pope) what I should or should not believe. You can deny all you might want to, Storisea, but you are searching for the truth. And, whether you want it or not, you have friends here who will answer your sincere questions without any reproach or judgment. Can you get that in the Watchtower Organization? I think not. Warm Christian Love, Tulsigirl

#1: 1 Corinthians 15:33 has never referred to companions as the society states. The entire discussion surrounding 15:33 was in regards to the resurrection hope and HOW it is perceived. Some Bible translations use the words ‘evil discourse’ or ‘evil communications’ instead of ‘bad associations’. If you’ve ever heard of ‘self-talk’, you’ll understand better the actual meaning of ‘bad associations’ that can be formed in a mind, even when without company and very much alone. Concerning the resurrection hope, if we say to ourselves there is no resurrection, then, hey, we may as well eat, drink and party because tomorrow we gonna die anyway. Of course, that sort of self-talk, or incorrect association is defeating to faith and hope. Do not be misled. Ironically, the very scripture that tells us not to form an incorrect association with the information, is also being used to mislead. It never had anything to do with the company we keep. True, there are other scriptures which do tell us that righteousness and lawlessness doesn’t have anything in common. Doesn’t mix. However, Jesus is no part of the world, in that his kingdom is a heavenly and spiritual one. If it were not, we would have to get out of the world altogether. Jesus dined with a Pharisee. He knew who he was, what he was about and he stood on solid footing in his heart and spirit of Jehovah. His limitations were not as the ours. We are weak and sinful. Therefore, we may make a personal decision to refrain from what may shake us in faith. 1 Corinthians 15:33 was not a command to judge a human being or else pay the piper. It pertained to our understanding of resurrection and hope. Many religions seem to use it as a weapon. It isn’t. It was meant to be a supportive tool for encouragement.

      #2 & #3: Exodus and Leviticus are pre-Christ.

      • Jacqueline

Hi Windsurfer, I see your point when I considered the Diaglott. While it may be true about bad association spoil useful habits. Something has to be said of persons avoiding conversations with other Bible readers or Christians. I have found most witnesses lose their faith if they actually listen or discuss the Bible with persons that actually know it. It does not build strength to walk away from a discussion all the time. We were trained to control the conversation at the doorstep or judge the person as unteachable or a goat in older times. The governingbody knows if a witness listens for a minute they will began to think. Yet other religions are assailed by witnesses all the time and don’t change their religion. Makes you wonder.
Also I agree point 2 and 3 are referring to something very specific to the nation of Israel. Another problem witnesses do, by quoting a scripture that seems right but it isn’t talking about the subject at hand and sometimes not in the right time slot. Thanks for you perspective.
Have you shared your experience on the site? if not would you care to tell us something about your walk?

      • Windsurfer

        Hi Jacqueline,

I believe that we have limitations and I am not supposed to judge yours or anyone elses. I do believe we are counseled by scriptures to be cautious as serpents but innocent as doves within our ability. I don’t believe that 1 Corinthians 15:33 was telling us to judge our companions or other persons. I don’t believe that was the point he was making.

Concerning Exodus and Leviticus, I believe that when Christ gave his life as a ransom sacrifice, it covered a multitude of sins for everyone, INCLUDING Israel. I believe that the promises offered to Israel were made possible by Jesus sacrifice. His sacrifice being the provision necessary to cover the sins. Not as an excuse for sin, but as an opportunity to heal. Where the Law would have condemned us, including Israel, it was abolished by Jesus sacrifice. The Law made sins apparent. Sin is death. Noone is perfect. But Jesus conquered that which was and made fulfillment of promises for the future possible.

No, I haven’t shared my experiences on this site. I don’t think it would be appropriate for me to do that. I am just learning how to walk. The only reason I commented was because I am not convinced that 1 Corinthians 15:33 should be used as a weapon against non-believers or anyone else and out of context in order to control someone’s association with fellow human beings. Association is a personal decision between an individual and Jehovah. Birds of a feather do flock together but it shouldn’t be by command or tyranny.

        🙂

        • Jacqueline

Windsurfer, We are on the same page, I agree with you. Learning to listen to someone else and not labeling them as an apostate group helped me to get freedom to think. Some family members used the 1Cor15:33 text to discourage me but like you I saw thru that.
One of the main differences I have found is that Jesus is a Ransom for all of Adam’s offspring not just a few select. I never was able to see why he couldn’t die for all since they would be sinners just by birth. Now that I have that straight I can get a personal relationship with a God I see as fair, he will at least get rid of the Babel (confusion) about what we should do during the times of restitution and restoration of all things. Now I am not afraid of his wrath at Armageddon for I know it is the takedown of society and not judgment day for mankind. I know you are going over the site but here are a few links that were helpful to me as I began my walk without fear. Feel free to comment on any subject you see here, there are thousands on this site every month and it just may be what they were thinking. Many read but will not comment. Take Care Jacqueline

          • Windsurfer

Thank you Jacqueline. I’m sorry for sounding rigid. I’m not used to speaking with fellow passengers. I do care. It’s all kinda scary at this point. I’ll visit the links.

            • Jacqueline

Windsurfer, I know how you feel. I used to use anonymous as my posting name. Now I use my real born with name. My experience is the one on the “Ask Jacqueline” tab. I learned that all of my family knows it is me. It took 3 yrs but they are all okay now. Those that don’t want to associate with me have taken their stand and the others have decided that as a family we will not take away freedom of worship and will not emotionally blackmail any in our family. So I have been where you are probably but give it time. Also attending one of the internet meetings online and getting to know some of the brothers and sisters helps to bring you to a safe and open place.
When you mentioned association, I thought about a dear friend that I have gotten to know and visit in the last few years. She is a wealth of knowledge and a joy and encouragement to talk with. Under the 1Cor. 15:33 as applied by the witnesses I would never had gotten to know her (Barbara Anderson) or Richard Rawe or Br. Bowen. You might remember the name from TV interviews with most US Major networks. So labeling humans often is done to keep you in the dark about knowledge should have. We post from time to time live ongoing conventions. Last weekend you could actually talk and answer questions on the Adobe connect. We will post the next one and maybe you can look in on your computer. I don’t know your circumstances but I am sure at first it will seem different until you stay there and realize these are our long lost brothers that we were told were dead.
I hope the things on the site are faith strengthening for you. All on here are at various stages in their new walk with finding Jesus for real. But we let each have freedom and liberty in their expressions. Some are very hurt so their expressions will be different. But we are so glad to have you comment and although we can see the thousands on (most are witnesses) they never say a word. But that’s okay too. Take Care Windsurfer. In God’s Grace, Jacqueline

            • Jacqueline

Windsurfer I recently went to the JW.org site to see if there was a comment section but it seems the information flows only one way. This is unusual as this quote shows.
              Awake 6/22/2000

.. “These appeals persuade not through the give-and-take of argument and debate, but through the manipulation of symbols and of our most basic human emotions.” Do Not Be a Victim of Propaganda! “A fool will believe anything.”—PROVERBS 14:15, TODAY’S ENGLISH VERSION. THERE is a difference—a big difference—between education and propaganda. Education shows you how to think. Propaganda tells you what to think. Good educators present all sides of an issue and encourage discussion. Propagandists relentlessly force you to hear their view and discourage discussion. Often their real motives are not apparent. They sift the facts, exploiting the useful ones and concealing the others. They also distort and twist facts, specializing in lies and half-truths. Your emotions, not your logical thinking abilities, are their target. The propagandist makes sure that his message appears to be the right and moral one and that it gives you a sense of importance and belonging if you follow it. You are one of the smart ones, you are not alone, you are comfortable and secure—so they say.

One have to be able to reply and discuss some of the articles presented. Just an observation.

              • Anonymous

Jacqueline, when you read the studies in the scriptures arn’t you being TOLD what to think?

                • Jacqueline

Hi Anonymous, No. There is no organization that defines that I must believe or teach any certain thing. Tonight is our Wednesday night study. If you come on you will notice that the Bible is the study material.
BTW Anonymous, I used to study the volumes in the early days as a witness. We chose what books we would study if we finished the book everyone else was studying.
I read the watchtower on jw.org to see what is being said. I read other books, I subscribe to the BAS Jewish library and I read late into the night.
I don’t feel any of these sources are telling me what to think. They are assimilating information that I absorb.
There is nothing wrong with reading the newspaper even. What is wrong is, if I am told I have to believe it or else risk being marked ostracized or disfellowshiped from my peers. If I am told I can’t question what I am reading. If I can’t discuss the material with others after it has been studied.
I am a readaholic, always have been my whole life. I read some other holy writing and books that were not made a part of the canon.
How will we learn if we don’t read? Hope I answered you as best I can Anonymous, if not set out more clearly what you are saying. Sincerely, Jacqueline

                  • Anonymous

Understood Jacqueline. Have you(or anybody else here for that matter)read the book entitled “The Creators Grand Design” published by the DAWN Bible students? I thought it was excellent!

                    • Jacqueline

I might have read some parts of it. I think I have it here in my library. I started out on the Dawn website and that is how I found the Class near me and the conventions. Maybe someone else looking on will be able to acknowledge.

                    • Peter K. (admin)

Anonymous – I read it a long time ago. Yes, it is a wonderful book. As I recall, a simplified version of the Divine Plan of the Ages.

                    • Anonymous

That’s good to hear Peter K.I have alot of the DAWN publications, right now I’m reading their book entitled: “The People of the Bible”…another excellent book!I’m comparing to the J.W.’s new book called:”Imitate Their Faith” the JW’s book doesn’t link Jesus Christ and the ‘golden thread’ like the DAWN book does, it was written for those who don’t have the heavenly hope.

                    • Peter K. (admin)

Anonymous – Do you have a heavenly hope?

                    • Anonymous

Yes I do Peter K. Why do you ask?

                    • Peter K. (admin)

Anonymous – Becsuse it helps to make sense why the Dawn books are appealing to you. Yes, just as with the New Testament, Bible Student books are more focused on speaking to the anointed (Jesus body members). On the other hand, I know of JWs hiding their anointing for fear of persecution.

You’re right Peter K., when I read watchtower material it feels like I’m not getting the ‘proper food’ and it doesn’t really move my heart like Bible student material does, it’s sorta like eating a salad when what you really want is a steak!Yes I know of some Jw’s who have been treated unkindly by fellow members when they confess to being one of the annointed….really sad. I would never partake with the Jw’s for fear of that!

                    • Jacqueline

I would never partake a a kh either. . And I like your analogy of steak vs salad. I was spiritually hungry. I understood more than what they were teaching. I would bring books to the kingdom hall disguised in a book covering and read it during meetings and still keep up.

                    • Anonymous

I like your idea jacqueline!Next time I go to a KH with my wife(a devout Jw)I’ll have to remember that!!:)

We were talking the other day and tried to figure out why so many witnesses are not prepared for their retirement. I mentioned this article and today I found it. Many of the brothers my age neglected to prepare because of these type of articles. Some of us realized a little late but we rushed to fortify ourselves a little, some kept hoping on Armageddon. I often wanted it to stave off as I thought it meant all the little children and people dying horribly. Do you remember this?

                      Awake! 1969 May 22 p.15
“If you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this present system of things. Why not? Because all the evidence in fulfillment of Bible prophecy indicates that this corrupt system is due to end in a few years. Of the generation that observed the beginning of the “last days” in 1914, Jesus foretold: “This generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur.”-Matt. 24:34. Therefore, as a young person, you will never fulfill any career that this system offers. If you are in high school and thinking about a college education, it means at least four, perhaps even six or eight more years to graduate into a specialized career. But where will this system of things be by that time? It will be well on the way toward its finish, if not actually gone!
The is why parents who base their lives on God’s prophetic Word find it much more practical to direct their young ones into trades that do not require such long periods of additional schooling. And trades such as carpentry, plumbing, and others, will be useful not only now, but perhaps even more so in the reconstruction work that will take place in God’s new order.” Jacqueline

Jacqueline…yes I remember that well!,in fact, myself and a lot of other young people dropped out of high school around that time because we were being encouraged to pioneer due to the ‘the end of the system’ was so near.A lot of Jw kids today though are going to college either a 2 yr. and some even 4 yr.(around my area anyway)

                    • Jacqueline

Yes, the same here and all over Jw children are staying in school. You know Barbara Anderson did the same and went pioneering. She eventually ended up as the secretary to the highest GB member. That path of knowledge has in the end helped a lot of people. I wanted to be a civil lawyer and did get some studies in that area but I finally played catchup when all my children were in elementary. I went back to school for my college. Now it is easier with online etc. This Sunday we will have a special talk about Israel and there is advertising all around some of Chicago expressways announcing a special event Saturday night on Israel in history today, also a full page ad in the paper so that should be a full house. Take Care Jacqueline

Anonymous I don’t know if you are still on here but I want to say something positive about growing up as a witness and one of it’s programs. Ministry School: I joined in 1959 when it became available for women to be a part of the training program. My Father could not read as was the case with many of the brothers and some sisters in our area. The ministry school program cured completely this element of illiteracy in our Black community and I have to give the credit where the credit is due! I thought of this because of an experience I just had.
A major hospital just called to see if I can put together by Tuesday(this is Friday) a major Stress management Session (talk for an hour and make it stick) I said sure without any hesitation. The administrator was surprised and wanted to know if I knew I would be before Doctors. I said that is okay. I used to volunteer with 15 minutes notice all my life as a part of a Bible training course that taught you how to speak in an instance, from a platform. She wished others could do that as she was not able to secure anyone on a moment’s notice like this.
My Ministry school slip once had 40 weeks out of 52 for substitution on ministry school as our Sisters would not do it in the first 10 years or so. But as they became more literate and the brothers this soon disappeared but I still substituted on a 5 minute notice thu out my life as a witness.
So, I know Ministry School helped me through out life as I have never feared speaking out on a moment’s notice and all of the different points of public speaking are ingrained in me.
Just wanted to say something positive here. That program is to be applauded.

Hello Sun, thanks for commenting. would you tell us you experience please. Are you a witness or an xjw? We would love to hear your story. Thank you Jacqueline

  • John Stoutenburg

It’s been several days since I commented on my experiences during my lifetime as a J.W. I’m not receiving much feedback so I wanted to offer an apology if any toes got stepped on. I do have the deserved reputation of being blunt, crass or maybe indelicate.I possibly could have been more gracious to my former bros. and sisters the great majority striving earnestly to serve God and Christ’s Kingdom interests in the only way they know.It is to these very ones I seek to help myself ;so I only harbor love and anguish toward their situation. I do feel that because of a serious and prolonged study of the word and fully perceiving the Holy Spirit upon me,I was able to see anew some of the more important teachings;including the general teaching of being begotten or chosen by Jehovah to leave the earth for a training assignment in heaven;to be used to restore blessings to the earth and restart the earth-purpose concerning everlasting life and then….(?)In my studies one thing seems to shine thru;that Jah and his son in their wisdom of course knew someone would eat the fruit and mankind would have to take the long way around toward life.Eph. 1;3-7;Col.chapter1 and2:3 It was no “emergency provision” that Christ would come be the seed to start a race of superhuman heavenly beings to become the government and priesthood for the human race on into eternity.Otherwise Jehovah would have allowed some goodhearted son of man back into Eden to eat from the ‘Tree of Life’; be healed of the poison;’Tree of Knowledge’,and live forever.(Gen.3:22-24)I feel this puts into perspective yet another facet of their wisdom;they knew their children would use their free will to try some things out;yet God loves us so He still made provision for eternal life though growing pains would be visited upon them according to His word.6000 years of misery)
We also see the trees of life again brought to our attention as the healing component in the closing chapters of Revelation.Possibly there being mentioned again shows there will literally be these healing trees in paradise(like 1000,s of herbs and plants have healing/nourishing properties today.) What seems apparent to me from scripture is that mankind is following the general plan already conceived by our creators.Does this seem shocking to anyone? As one who likes to bounce ideas off other Bible readers I would love to hear anyone’s thoughts about this.Since the name of this site is anointed talk;I feel I can freely share some things I am pondering that seem very important to me and my eternal destiny or the purpose for my anointing, anyway.Am I out of line here? Let me know if these musings are unwelcome.

    • Jacqueline

John, your comments are very welcome my brother. I will be writing in response after the funeral is over. I am glad to see you took had one of my same experiences, being able to understand scripture clearly. If I prayed for help, it came quickly and I could see through a lot of my misconceptions. That is one of the things I have had to get accustomed to. Being able to understand what I read in the Bible with clarity.
I am going to think deeply on your thoughts and read some more and reply. Until then tyake care my brother. In Christ’ love. Jacqueline

    • Peter K. (admin)

John – Thanks for contributing here. You have some great comments. Rev 13:18 speaks of the “Lamb slain before the foundation of the world.” Jehovah had this plan of permitting evil, sending the Savior and restoring mankind, before even the creation of the world. Even the prophets of God did not understand much of what their prophecies meant, but those prophecies were later meant to be understood by the Christian Church:

1 Pet 1:10 As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries, 11seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow. 12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things into which angels long to look. NASV

The book of Daniel was sealed and has been revealed at the time of the end. (Dan 12:9). The seven seals of Revelation were removed progressively.

This all means that God had a plan in mind from the beginning, which he has been progressively revealing to his servants.

It is Jehovah’s plan to develop this bride of Christ during the Gospel Age to prepare them to help to bless all the families of the earth.

Future Mission of the Church to Save the World

      ON A RESCUE MISSION

1 Peter 1:9 – “receiving the end of your faith — the salvation of your souls.” NKJV

Obad 21 – “Then saviors shall come to Mount Zion” [Rev 14:1-5 firstborn who follow Lamb.]

1 Cor 15:29 – Otherwise, what will they do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead do not rise at all? Why then are they baptized for the dead? NKJV

      BLESS ALL MANKIND

Acts 3:25 – ’And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’ NKJV

Gal 3:29 – And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

      REIGNING AS KINGS & PRIESTS

2 Tim 2:12 – If we endure, We shall also reign with Him. NKJV

Rev 20:6 – first resurrection…they shall be priests of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Rev 1:6 – “has made us kings and priests to His God and Father” NKJV

JUDGES OF ISRAEL & THE WORLD

1 Cor 6:2 – “Do you not know that the saints will judge the world?” NKJV

Matt 19:28 – “in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. NKJV

Dan 7:27 – “the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be handed over to the saints” NIV

My dear Brother John, I enjoyed you so VERY much in last Wednesday’s study with Brother Peter. It is good to have another ex-JW who understands what I’ve been through. I still don’t accept that I am one of the consecrated ones such as yourself and most of the Bible Students. However, I feel blessed to be accepted and loved. I was terribly alone and now I have like-minded lovers of Jehovah and the basic truths he has allowed me to know and understand. I hate that you were treated so badly. Since I come from an area that had several “younger” anointed who WERE accepted, it is sad you suffered so. In my area, we were encouraged to remember that we don’t know a persons heart and that ultimately Jehovah knows who he has chosen. Even before the Memorial, we were encouraged not to become shocked or discourage anyone who felt they should partake. I’m finding that this is VERY unusual. Though, the Watchtower Society if probably 98.9% in sync, I have found there are little pockets of ones who do things a bit differently then others. I’m here in Oklahoma and we’re much more loving…LOL (Just being silly) I think you will enjoy studying with the Bible Students. I am amazed at new things I’m learning that I NEVER even heard of as a JW. It has been a bit confusing and a bit shocking in some ways on occasion. But we are encouraged to be open and search the scriptures for the truth as we understand it not what an organization tells us. The firm, basic truths of one God, no trinity, Jesus Christ, his created son & our Redeemer, Hell, the common grave and other teachings are still here. So, I hope to “see” you again Wednesday and hear your “Amen.” hahaha Much Christian Love, Tulsigirl

Thanks Jackie (can I call you that?) and I want to say I have been reading your comments for a couple weeks and I can tell you’ve been there.Looking forward to fellowshiping with the Bible students. To be with others who share my belief and hope is a wonderful relief for me.Can’t be tuned in for program till next week because of work.Thank you and Peter for the encouragement.May the Father continue to help encourage us lost sheep find a way thru your many humble and earnest efforts.(Ruth 2:12)

Replying to your question, Peter; No I was viewed as an apostate or crazy or even demon possessed by other members.Several witnesses recommended I start trying to get ‘medicated’ with prescription drugs(as they were using them for their condition). This really offended me and shocked me at first, but now I know after analyzing the whole experience I understand that many Witnesses simply don’t care to go deeper into the Bible. So anyone who reflects or meditates on these cool passages and comments or wants to share some reflections about a scritural point is viewed with suspicion. It’s been literally POUNDED into the brains of J.W.s to beware of anyone who expresses any thoughts other than Watchtower. There definitely is a witch hunt going on in this organization. Many elders act like bullies and theocratic “cops” (and their snitches who brown nose these elders) are everywhere. There is a tangible fear in the organization felt by all.Personal expressions are avoided at all costs for fear of being targeted.A person’s love for Jehovah and Jesus and zeal for His word has to be put well behind obedience to the so called “Faithful Slave” J.W.s ruling elite. It’s so disgusting to the point that some of their songs offer praise to this body of men!I took issue to this worship of church leaders;especially the circuit and district overseers who go around with huge egoes and try to propagate this long term prophet-like view of themselves. The Witness members literally worship and cower before them.Jockying for field ministry time with these representatives of the “society” so they can butter them up and get a favorable appointment to become appointed as elder or ministerial servant. It’s a disgusting clown show to watch.People literally fawning over these men and i know from many years of being a witness monetary gifts and material gifts have been made to them.I had many loving friends among the Witnesses who will not talk to me now but they stated when I was in the organization that they really loved me because I spoke up and said things publically that they were afraid to say.I wish some of them will comment on this as I know they are probably surfing around now searching for themselves.

Thank you so much for yout honest and truthful explanation of how it really is my brother. My hope is that Jehovah will direct more to this site that helps a witness to understand what is going on. All one can say on what you have written is Amen. Thanks. Hope to hear you tonite on the Wednesday Bible study. This has a copy of the July issues of magazines that calls anyone thinking on their own mentally diseased. http://www.jw.org/.

WHY do you LIE WHY???? I do not understand why you are lying. What are getting out of it alls you are getting to be called APOSTATE, you like that feeling of being cut off. YOUR DEAD. How does it feel?? So you were offended owie it hurt me, they hurt my feelings, and suggested I get medical help.. OH what is this ?they suggested you get help??? Well boy are they the stupid ones…

No one gets an monetary gifts. Well ok the overseers get cars to travel, from here to there because it is what they do… an even a mobile home sometimes if that is the case. But they are not bmw’s and they are economic cars etc..

The real Witness on here will tell you if you want to here the real side or just scorned witnesses the ones that are hurt and want to commit what ever against Jehovah God, want to be a worldly person.

Watch for me and I will tell you the TRUTH..

In reply to your question concerning treatment of anointed J.W.s i would like to submit a brief response.I was a baptized bro. in the church(yes;that’s what it is)for 37 years before thru intense RESTUDY of eyerything I could about Christian salvation,I came to realize the truth that the only way to be saved and be in the kingdom was to be “born Again” of 1;THE WATER, and2;THE SPIRIT;see John ch.3. I knew from being a lifelong Christian Witness that born of the spirit meant the anointing and adoption into the ‘Bride Class’.But I had also thru my studies over the years realized J.W.s had misconceptions that needed to be cleared up;some very serious ones.I was positive we should all partake of the Memorial emblems and all should aspire to the heavenly invitation of being born again. There were also other things I came to understand which I may discuss later. For these reasons i came to the realization that Jehovah and Christ had given me a rebirth in another way; a rebirth of TRUE BIBLE KNOWLEDGE.I excitedly woud share my new experience of rebirth with my grown children first and my wife. My believing children rejoiced for me but my wife took a different view;ultimately we seperated. When i tried to partake of the emblems at the annual Memorial Supper 2 different years the brothers handing out the emblems tried to refuse me them, thinking I was crazy and committing a mortal sin!I had to calmly say,” It’s alright brother I know what I’m doing.”None of the elders in either congregation were glad for my new hope, but to the contrary doubted my sanity and my “loyalty”to the Watchtower Society.(it is commonly believed among J.W.s and even printed in the “Holy Watchtower” that if Jehovah was to anoint anyone at this hour in the time of the end it would only be from among older faithful members of Witnesses or Bethel members or missionaries;not from among the rank and file membership. And it was common knowledge in our area(around 1000 members in this immediate vicinity)that at some time or another I had been disciplined congregationally for wrongdoing Although reinstated for many years.Certainly the fact that I am outspoken in any group or congregation and I felt I should be able to freely express myself about Bible verses;discussing possible meanings other than Watchtower explanations, had a lot to do with the way all the Witnesses viewed my rebirth.(understood and I only expected as much)My own mother was also anointed and few believed her not even some in her own family.Well that’s somr of my expierience;I gave the elders a letter of resignation several years ago tho they didn’t want to take it. I just want to say I’m glad I came across the Bible Student’s website;it’s been a long dry spell of not being with brothers in Christ. The Witnesses didn’t even claim to be my brothers of the anointed class and never could relate to my feelings or scriptural viewpoint.I told my daughter this morning that I feel we are on the virge of a Biblically historical change where many among mankind are going to be “born again”in knowledge and of Holy Spirit.;THANKYOU BIBLE STUDENTS and Jah and the Lord for “leaving the light on ” for us.

John – It would be interested to hear from you whether you were accepted as an anointed brother and treated well or not, in the JW Organization?
