Testimonials

Romans 8:28 promises, “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” NASV.  All of us desire to be close to our God Jehovah and his son, Jesus Christ.  We long for their comfort, guidance and encouragement in our lives.  We are promised in Isaiah 26:3, “You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.” NKJV.  Yet when difficult and harsh experiences come, we sometimes feel alone and afraid.  In Hebrews 13:5 we read, “God Himself has said, “I will never, never let go your hand: I will never never forsake you.” Weymouth.  You are not alone.  Your heavenly Father and his Son are watching over you.  You are not alone.  There are others like you who have experienced hard trials and difficult experiences.  Take some time to share with us.  To tell your story.  To encourage others.  That is what this Testimony section is for.

simple proof that the bible is gods word..look around their are plenty of religious books yup plenty of them but what book has come down to us through all history to say pretty much what it said when it was just the ten commandments ? yes the bible..some say basic instructions before leaveing earth, but its still a book so consistant that evan poorly written translations have more power than todays best selling novel the bible endures simply because its author is not dead nor will he die ! thats what makes the bible so special its the onley book authored by the imortal true god jehovah and thats how we know. its here when everybody elses book is long gone
so pick it up and read a little here and their soon you will find yourself studying it like a treasure map,

A fine testimony to your immense faith in God ari matthews. Take Care

Ari Matthew Davies. The Bible is one of the very few ancient books to have survived until today because wherever christianity went, it abolished the local traditions.Like me i´m african but i know little of my culture, i don´t because they teach us about the bible and almost nothing about the local religion. How can other books and religion have a chance when u´re told since childhood that they are nonsense and that only the bible matters. That´s why the bible survived till today.

I spoke with a friend last week about losing faith in the bible ( he´s not a witness) and he gave me very convincing arguments for the bible. I´m going to read the Koran and he´s read it already. He says i´ll see for myself the superiority of the bible when i read it. He answered some of my questions but raised more, also said that there´s no way to know everything cos life is like a play, we only enter in the middle and leave before the end so we can never be sure about the past nor can we know the future, we can only work with what we have now.

Good for you that you talked to someone. You will be okay 19. Without the Bible and hope we might as well throw in the towel but thanks to Jesus it’s going to work out. Wednesday we have a Bible Study but I think our time are off. But we would love to say hello. It is 7pmCST.

yes this is truely an ironic paradox for jesus christ pictures jehovah of the old testament perhaps what is being said here is that god is mercifull and forgiveing to those that would repent and for those that choose to be gods enemy those people will find him to be the ultimate enemy, and its pretty darn scary to think that a person that displeases god gets tortured by fire for ever and his desendants get punished also, perhaps it would be best to not get on gods angry list I dont know for certain that their is no such thing as hell, and jesus did not tell us what happened to him while he was dead 3 days,I wish he would have said something about the being dead and being resurected thing, but Not much on that was said..anyway jehovah has been very mercifull and financially supportive to me, he answers my prayer with enough work to pay my bills and evan a little extra I still have no earthly idea why he shows me kindness, it is not because of my many good deeds or hours of field service, but I am truely gratefull to him and wish I could do something to show my gratitude ! jehovah has allways been
the god that keeps me alive, housed, fed, never evan in the midst of addiction 22
    years ago did I suffer
any dire calamity,a million times I could have died in my sin or harmed another while driveing around druged out,but jehovah carried me through hell on earth to bring glory to his name today I can say that angry or happy I would rather have jehovah as my god than any other worthless stinky pseudogod of this world !and take it from me jehovahs healthy anger is far better than the devils greatest praise ! but
For all I have seen and been through I will be straigt and honest their just is no one that you could choose for a freind better than jehovah and no better king than jesus thats all I can say,its just the plain truth, and it may sound redundant but All praises to him in the highst amen..

    To 19;

I believe the following proves the Bible is God’s word. Daniel wrote his account in Babylon. And he probaly was aware that Isaiah wrote Jerusalem would be rebuilt. 44:26,”Imake my servants’ prophecies come true and give effect to my messengers’ designs. I say of Jerusalem,’She shall be inhabited once more’, and of the cities of Judah,’They shall be rebuilt; all their ruins I will restore.” Verse 28,”I say to Cyrus.”
The Bible even names the man that will set them free to go back and rebuild. But this you might say means Daniel new this when he wrote. Consider just a little of what Daniel wrote. 9:24-27 Just parts of will be considered. “to restore and rebuild Jerusalem.” This came to a fulfillment. “Messiah will be cut off.” This was fulfilled. Mt 26:2; Lu 24:26; 1 Cor 15:23
Now watch what Daniel says,”And the City and the holy place the people of a leader that is coming will bring to their ruin.” Mt 24:15; Lu 19:43;21:20

Not only did Daniel say Jerusalem would be rebuilt, but that it would be destroyed again.

No man can predict those things, common sense dictates the Bible is the inspired word of God.

And if you want to know for sure, you have to. “Can you fathom the mystery of God, can you fathom the perfection of the Almighty? Job 11:6,7.

JAMES WROTE,”If any of you falls short in wisdom, he should ask God for it and it will be given him.” 1:5

Max. I´ve heard this argument all my life, i don´t doubt the inspired profecies nor the miracles that happened. My problem is the claim that the bible is the superior to other books because of profecies.Other religions and groups also had profecies that came true.Miracles also happened in other religions, just read their books.I believe those miracles happened but i don´t take that as the sign that their religion is superior to others.

Even God has two sides to him. In the old testament he´s fierce, he battles, he ´neither forgives nor forget (says he´ll persecute until the fourth generation, those who hate him), he gets angry, jealous and promises terrifying punishments to desobedient isrealites. In the New testament, he´s loving, forgives, gives everyone a chance and has his arms open wide.

Yesterday, during field service, the wife of one the elders tried to convince me not to do post-grad but instead to work at bethel, or be a missionary. One of the thing s i hate is when people think they know whats best for you and then try to impose it. I told her frankly that i didn´t want that for my life and that i loved studying. They say this world will end and college education will be useless. I think it will be useless for the one who went to college just so he could get a good job, i´m there cos i love studying. They say we will all speak the same language and everything will be rosy, but i don´t find that a good thing.I like the diversity of cultures and languages in the world, i think it´s wonderful and i´d like to devote myself to their study.I mean, God created us that way and he wouldn´t create such variety in nature if he wanted all humans to be the same. Why do we always wish for something better? We only see the sickness, death and other bad things and forget all the other good things we have here and now.Why does anyone wants to go to heaven or live in a perfect world? I wouldn´t want to be perfect neither would i like to live in a world where everyone is perfect,it´s going to be boring. My friend says i think that way because we´re so used to being imperfect that we can´t imagine any other scenario. I think that if we keep wishing for a world that has all the good things of now and the opposite of every bad thing here, that will only lead us to take everything and everyday for granted. You only truly apreciate polite people after meeting lots of rude ones. We humans take a lot for granted even now, imagine what would happen if we had everything perfect.

thanks for the reply, today a bible student visited the recovery church that I visit on sunday to visit my freind he spoke from 1 st john on how to tell if a person truely is in jesus, and their sure are a lot who say they are saved but dont evan understand that salvation is a constant process and that the word recover means to cover up again its inpossible to recover something that was never covered in the first place and freinds most people never understand recover comes from the greek language and its intent and meaning means to come back under the blood of jesus ! from which you can walk away from in sin, now what sin kills more people than any other sin ? hmmm self rightousness ! the firm adamant beleif that your beleif and program is the right one,,yet my freind here is the test how many people do you know that proved it by comeing back from the grave..thats right 1 so that means nobodys got it right dosent ? all have sinned and fallen short.yes none are rightous no not one.. but thanks be to jesus who has built us a gateway to enter into the presance of jehovah with no sin smell clinging to us ! the times show us how urgently that we as humans need to run to jesus as the onley answer and leave behind us our past beleifs, when we read the bible we see the road sighn pointing to jesus, when we begin to obey jesus as king we begin to walk with jesus who shows us the father, so bind togeather to face the common foe ! first our own selfs, 2 second the wicked one that owns us by default until we cast of his rulership,by submiting to jehovahs son onley than does the devil lose his rights over us,and we know we are born again by our first fruitage of gods spirt a genuine love for all of our fellow christians proveing we have started our journey to final salvation

  • ari matthew davies

it is truely a sad,and terrible thing that we who beleive that jehovah is god and jesus christ is our lord have created so many schisms in the body.. why can we as christians not accept that their are differant parts to the body of christ and treat each other with more than just toleration for the sake of christ ? I was baptised a j.w. but after being in that program I myself could not continue their, I also have attended baptist churchs were I was impressed by the food, and welcome! I found the apostolic united pentacostal church to have the best praise and worship times, and the churchs that minister to alchohol and drug addicts are filled with miraculous wonderous sighs and things I can onley attribute to gods direct intervention. I did not enjoy the catholic church,THE seven day adventists are pretty much jehovshs wittnesses that eat more healthy and respect saterday sabbath, So In my travels between those churchs I have not seen one single thing going on in the church were I as a christian beliver would have to get up and leave ! yes I have seen diferant songs and ideas of were we go after death, but even jesus christ did not discribe to us the expeiriance,so what is with the push and shove ? freinds lets get out of our church comfort zones ! lets visit some of the other body parts and thank them for what they do.. freinds you can bank on seeing way more than just j.ws in the good place..I was never disfellowshiped or rebuked publicly by any church and their simply is no reason to go that route. I am a jehovahs wittness apointed by jehovah to visit churchs and synogougs just like the apostles, and I leave my position just like that,I do not have a home church so if you simply feel that you can not tolerate the kingdomhall as a home that is because you have likely been apointed by jehovah as a red blood cell and your job is to carry oxegen through out the entire body !and my freinds their is certainly no shame in that, the bible says life is in the blood,so be who jehovah has made you ! go and have great times and christian freedom thank jehovah for the wonderous job he gave you, perhaps just perhaps those people that are fat cells will be motivated to release some of that much needed energy into the body ! gods blessings to all

Ari matthews, I really understand what you are saying. I have never felt I had to get up and leave either. But as a JW, I actually had to get up and leave! To tell me I can’t get to God unless I accept and submit to the GB and his earthly appointed corporation. If it was spiritual I could sort of buy that but it is a corporation run like enron, att, chrysler corp etc. With monetary profit as the goal like any well run corporation. I don’t down them for making money, now. Just don’t tell me I have to work for you to get to God. There is only one mediator between God ans Men, our Savour Jesus Christ.
On your other comment: I have to say no one (JW) rebukes me when I say I am a Bible Student from Br. Russell. One elder told my daughter in law that it is an apostate group without me present. She replied, they were here before us! My mother in law id happy now and that is fine with the family. No repercussions from that either. I think they just don’t know what to say but it gets them to thinking. A lawyer client and I sat down today and had a good old fashion country talk about religion. He concurred that he can see anarchy coming from a political view. Only an outside powerful forsce will be able to deal with it. He said I think Jesus is coming again and soon. He went into things the BS talk about from the pulpit and link to our day. I enjoyed that 2 hour session as others in the mall listened on.I think they will google the simple term Bible Student to see who we were talking about.

I´m already working on fading and having a measure of success. There are lots of inactive people in my cong and most are depressed, so it shouldn´t be a prob.I stopped attending during-the-week meetings since april. When asked i tell them it´s bcos of school, then i start talking about how stressful it is and how i have to research for my thesis. No one bothers me after hearing that.I stopped comenting a long time ago.The risk is a friend of mine to whom i confided about my doubts. She told me that she loves me and to do what i thought right and there are no signs she told any one yet but our relationship has become strained.I went to the meeting yesterday and i couldn´t wait for the end of the meeting. There are only 3 elders in my cong so they don´t have much time for inactive people.ecently an elder approached me about my hrs and wanted my phone number but my phone is at the repair shop.I would really like to send a letter to the elders disassociating my self, infact i will do so soon cos living a double life is killing me. The only thing stopping me is a friend, who needs me but, she´ll move away soon.Until then, i´m composing my letter and i will send it as soon she leaves. I didn´t forget ur offer and i will get to it as soon as the semester is over.
    Jehovah´s Blessings.

    • Ken

Hello 19 and welcome! Thank God I don’t have to worry about fading and writting a letter of disassoiation, because I’m already Df’d.So are you planning on being a Bible student?

      • Jeff

Ken, my Father and I spent some time out in ‘field service’ on Saturday morning. It appears to me that Bible Students will attempt to witness in almost every way possible, internet (like this site), Radio (www.christianquestions.net), television (like the videos at http://www.chicagobible.org or http://www.divineplan.org), mailings, newletters, magazines, etc… as well as some ‘field service,’ but we do it differently. We have had some go into ‘coulpourteur’ work in our day but it is not as widespread as how the Jws use it. Obviously it works for the JWs (even though they are not keeping their membership over a period of time).

It was interesting to learn some of the techniques that Jws use. There were a couple of interesting discussions with some folks. Some were not interested and wouldn’t speak at all, and we even stopped by an elder’s house and knocked on his door seconds after his garage door closed…only to find that he was ‘busy’ and it was not a good time for him. I left the literature at his door anyway.

The question now it…what will I do with what I learned? 🙂

      • 19

Ken, not really. For now i´ll just concentrate on leaving JWS and i don´t know what to believe anymore. The reason i´m leaving JWS is because i have lots of questions bothering me and JWs haven´t been able to answer them.I´m scared to go to the elders to ask because they may disfellowship me or tell everyone to avoid me if theirs answers don´t convince me.The arguments of the governing body about this matters don´t convince. The only thing i´m sure of – that i believe, is that God exists.I´ll find my way from there.

    • Jacqueline

Hi 19, glad to hear from you again. May I make a suggestion so your friends can still talk to you. Just walk away, no letter. Is there a scripture that says you have to write a letter? Where in the Bible or the constitution of your country that says you have to unjoin a religion? Many that left in the 70’s-2005 wrote letters or went in and said df me. They have since realized that was unwise and unneccessary. It causes your family and friends grief as they have a guilty conscience if they talk to you. I can’t tell you what to do but no one does it that way now. They fade then disappear. They don’t meet with the brothers at all. They won’t push it as the society can be sued for stalking. Make your own decision but those ahead of us tested the waters and figured out the best way. Isn’t this a shame that we are behaving as if we are escaping communism. Talk to the father in Jesus’ dear name and let the holy spirit guide you. You are such an inspiration at your age. We are here to stand behind you 19. In love Jacqueline

      • 19

Jaqueline, I´ve thought of that, but i´ll be disfellowshiped anyway. There are witnesses near my home and they´ll see me when i go to birthdays or christmas parties and all other thing forbidden.I´d rather disassociate myself and not live in fear than give the gossippers in the cong the satisfaction of seeing me disfellowshipped. If i could move away, i´d do it but i can´t, at least not yet. That can only happen after i finish school because of my dad. Even if i moved away, one of the elders in the cong is a friend of my dad and if he pesters my dad about me, my dada could give away. Any other suggestions?

        • Jacqueline

Hi 19, you still amaze me with your ability to express yourself at yyour age. I don’t have any more suggestions except to replace as you are doing another thought other than the JW on scripture. I still advise all not to write a letter and not to meet with the elders and get DF’d. Just stop going or if you are living at home go if your parents insist but button the lip until you are grown and out. If you don’t go you have already disassociate fellowship with the witnesses and they shouldn’t be able legally or otherwise to come after you as long as you refuse to meet. Every day it is getting easier to disassociate without a letter being written as the GB is being hit with legal action. From my personal dealings with them they are tyrants not ministers of the word. So glad you are keeping your mind sharp by thinking. Take Care.

PS: 19 it refreshing that you have not lost faith, belief in God. Also you are associating here on the site. If you shy away from any of that they will have won. They will have conquered. Don’t let those 7 men in NY controll your movements now. You are free. If not physically now soon.

          • 19

Jaqueline, I think i´ll do that.My dad wouldn´t mind,he´ll be overjoyed instead. When i say the only thing i´m sure of is that God exists i also mean that i´ve lost my faith in everythig else.My problem is not the JWs themselves but with religion.I lost my faith in the bible and all religions.
My question is “How do we know that the bible is God´s word?” Don´t read me Pet 2:21 nor 1Tim 3:16.The fact that the bible itself said so is not proof enough for me. Everybody says their point of view is right but that doesn´t make it so.The fact that the isrealites said they worshipped the only true God does´t mean that they did and if they did why did God, creator of the human race, privilege the jews over all his other creations. Isn´t that prejudice? How can he abandon the whole world and focus on only the jews? The Jws said God asked to destroy the canaanites because of their badness but how can they be bad if they weren´t given the oportunity to be good neither could they choose? And even if they refused to adopt judaism, can we blame them? Why should they believe a foreign people interested in their land when they say everything canaanite was bad and that only juadim was right.Besides, only mentally disturbed people are conscious that something is bad and that they´d be killed for it but go on doing it.Most of the things we do as humans is done in the belief that it was the right thing so what was the crime of the canaanites except that they lived in the land that the isrealites believed belonged to them?.The argument that it was their badness is not enough justificaton. Christianity is based on the God that jesus preached and not the God that the isrealites show in the old testament ( that´s my opinion)
I´m an african and i think often of my forefathers who worshipped idols, JWs say they will be ressurected, but as unrighteous. How can they be unrighteous if they did those things in the belief that it was right.I believe that God does not think like us humans,we are so prejudiced that we see anyone different from us as inferior.I don´t believe that God is like that cos he´s the father of all creation so he´s imparcial.
Why does every religion have to claim to be the only true one while the other are false? What right do we have to judge other people´s relationship with God? How can blame an imperfect human, who can never know everything or see everything clearly for choosing a religion that perhaps is false if there are so many out there claim to be true? We have no right neither do we know everything, we are not God and he´s superior to us, different from us. His point of view is different from ours. That´s why even jesus was not prejudiced not against women, nor against the romans, nor against non-isrealites nor against sinners.Jesus taught love not intolerance and hate.

19 Hello, African a-w-w-w, I have friends here from the Congo, Soukous Stars.
The questions that you are asking are basic bible questions. The Bible Students biblical answers will surprise you as they are not at all like what we have been taught. I am going to take you to the sites that you might find helpful. The video library has an excellent video on “For This Cause.” IT IS COMPELLING! Also the bibletoday site has a lot of basic answers. You have many questions. The talk on the first link will address some of your questions also, as you state you have lost faith in Christianity and religion in general, so let’s just deal with the bible. This is that give a man a fish and he will eat for today but if you teach him how to fish he will eat every day from then on. So these sites will allow you to fish for the answers, with logic and the bible and your sound reasoning. Please enjoy and give us feed back. In Christ Jacqueline. Some others will probably like to address some of the questions also to state their view to you.
              https://www.friendsofjehovahswitnesses.com/2010/10/22/do-we-all-worship-the-same-god/
              http://www.chicagobible.org/video-library/
              http://www.bibletoday.com/
19 I also might add that we as humans can not go beyond what is written in the Bible or question the wisdom of why God does a thing a certain way, as you stated he thinks differently from us. As an adult thinks way beyond a 2month old child. Jude speaks again about Sodom but gives no more info than was given in Genesis. We trust God. We also trust him in destruction of the world that was that had DNA containmination with men and according to the book of Enoch animals.
You see this is where faith comes in based on Jesus’ coming to the earth. The vast majority of mankind don not believe in the Bible as the word of God. Most do not accept Jesus as their Lord or Savour. This is in part because of the nation or family that they were born in or the record of Christianity down thru the ages. That is why it is so important for those that leads God’s people of Christianity must admit that they are sinners and trying to understand like everyone else. Because when they foul up badly people won’t say so God’s only people messed up. Catholicism, Jehovah witnesses and perhaps some more claim to be the soul mouth piece of God on earth so when they foul up people blame God. That is why I like my brothers here you are allowed to think and voice your thoughts and not get penalized if you have a brain. You 19 have a brain! I believe holy spirit will help you to come to grips with this thing called religion. If not now, in the Millenium reign of our Lord the Christ, Jesus. Revelations 5: says Jesus is to be praised

              • 19

Jaqueline, I downloaded the links you shared.I promise i´ll read them.Thank you for understanding and not judging me.I really want to be believe but i can´t do that with my doubts.

                • Jacqueline

19, 1Cor 9:24-27 says that many enter the race but only one wins the prize (this is a composite 1). Yet the others may actually finish the race in 2’nd, 3rd, 4th place etc. Let me tell you about a race in Los Angeles California 1998, it was their big one I was there, Mohammed Ali and other big name sport persons were there. Kenya (I believe) won 1st place and the crowd roared. And 2nd and 3rd came in right behind. We wandered off to eat and greet as many hundreds more finished with no fanfare. But guess what, the TV camera said there was one lone runner way behind the wheelchair people. He experienced different trials on the way, got hot, tired, some gave him water and hosed him down, many others cheered him on, but he was way behind the wheelchair people (get the point). Not a soul left non of the big athletes, I hung on the front rail as I was with the promoter. Darkness began to fall, the TV cameras, people along the route and all of America was rooting for the person in LAST PLACE!!! The cameras went out in his face and ran backward as they filmed him. We all rushed to the field as he slowly but steadily made it hours behind everybody. He had more publicity, more newspaper, more cheers than the actual 1st place winner. Why? Because in spite of all obstacles along the way he stayed in the race!! You and I might not come in in 1st or 2nd place but we too shall also get a hooray as Jesus raises the flag of victory over our head in the Millenium whether we rise from the obstacle of Death or thru Armageddon’s fire. We can finish that race a thousand years later and there will be Angelic help from Jesus and his bride, the temple workers and the ancient worthies to help us finish the race. By the way some didn’t enter the race in L.A. for various reasons, some didn’t want to, some couldn’t, their circumstances of life made it impossible but they cheered and provided support to those that were running. Some will be way behind in the new world part of the race and as they get the point of what God really requires they start running. You take care, as long as you have the breath of life in you cheer everybody on with your comments. We appreciate you 19. There are over 3,000 consistent people viewing this website every month, they never say a word but I and the other administrators see them. Max made some very good points to you in his comment.

A tough terrain in LA, like our Christian race.

This one is about the trials of a race in 1987, I don’t have time to research the last place winner for 1998, but this gives you an idea of our Christian run. Enjoy.
