The sacrifice of Jesus was under the old law, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. If Jesus was God in the flesh, then the sacrifice He made was not equal since Adam was only a perfect man. Jesus had to be a perfect man like Adam for His sacrifice to be of equal value. That’s why Paul states in Romans 5:18-19, 18 “Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. 19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.” Food for thought.

Bible Students believe Jesus came in the FLESH, just like Adam, as a perfect human being. Trinitarians believe Jesus was a God-Man, both God and Man at the same time (and three gods in one at that). So who’s belief is closest to the verse you quoted about Jesus coming in the flesh?
The word God, in John 1:1 is the Greek word “Theos.” Even Satan is called the “God (Theos) of this world” (2 Cor 4:4) and Herod was called a god (Theos) in Acts 12:22. John 1:1 can be translated, “the Word was a god.” (Wilson’s Diaglott)
Think about it friend. The Word “Trinity is not found in the Bible. The words “Father,” “Son” and “Holy Spirit” are never found together except in Matt 28:19, which does nothing to prove the Trinity. If you look at the Bible with a belief already in mind, you can find your belief, whatever you are looking for. If you study the Bible itself objectively, looking to see what it says, you will never find the teaching of the Trinity in it.

Remember friend, the Apostle John told us the “God is love.” His Justice is balanced with love and mercy. If I am a bad guy and going to hell, why then did Paul say in Acts 24:15-16 – “there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.” NKJV. Doesn’t this say bad guys are coming back in the resurrection. That is when they will get the opportunity for learning and judgment. BringFreedom – Are you saying that Jesus is the Father? Because in the Trinity doctrine, Jesus is the Son, not the Father. In John 14:9, Jesus was merely saying that he was so much like the Father, that knowing him was the same as knowing the Father. The same thing should be true with use, that people should see Jesus in us, if we are walking in the spirit. (Col 1:27) Jesus prayed: “that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us.” (John 17:21). Jesus was in the Father, just in the same way that we are in the Father and in Jesus. We are one with them in spirit and in purpose. Hi to you all, I’m glad to have found this site, and I plan to revisit. Reading some of your posts, it is interesting to see people simply try get back to the simple message of the Bible, with the goal of walking each day with God and Jesus Christ.
May I make two comments on KEY ISSUEs:
1.
The religion of the Watchtower Society and the true Faith of being a Witness of Jehovah are entirely different. The 1st witness was Abel – thousands of years before the Watchtower religion made its appearance. True witnesses strive to live like Jesus -they do NOT love money, or draw attention to themselves by opulent living. They give, and they serve.
2.
While it is natural to ask questions and to seek Bible knowledge … true Christians NEVER forget 1 Co 13: KNOWLEDGE PUFFS UP, LOVE BUILDS UP.
Based on some 50 years association with the Watchtower religion, it is evident that this has been their ongoing downfall – the endless pursuit of knowledge, especially of prophecy. Real love doesn’t just go from door to door handing out literature and a message. Real love HELPS PEOPLE – the sick, the needy, the downtrodden. . . yes, even the offcasts from society (the proverbial harlots and tax collectors). If necessary, it puts food on their tables, clothes on their backs, and a roof over their heads. Sure – it’s not easy. But Jesus and the apostles did it. With God’s help we can, too.

I might add Jesus’ words from John 17:17 “”Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.” The purpose of truth and knowledge is to have a sanctifying effect in our lives, to change our hearts to be more like Christ’s. Paul put is this way in Rom 12:2, “Be transformed by the renewing of your minds.”

Really? Well Johnny said on sixscreens that they checked facebook accts. Because of the Baptism questions, one agree to abide by the organization’s rules of conduct.
Another reason for this is you can notify a huge population at once, in an instant about things. This is a control issue. Jehovah could have demanded Eve not talk to the animals. Thank you Truth Peace Love, for your beautiful expressions of love. It is so true that God is love (1 John 4:8,16), and to become more like Him we must develop love more fully. All of our experiences, both difficult and joyful, are necessary and helpful to developing this beautiful quality of character.
There is one thing I was not sure what you meant, when you said, “are all things that we agreed upon before we incarnated, knowing that these very things were the things that would bring us closer to being LOVE.” I don’t know if you really meant what this sounds like, but if you did, can you show the scriptures which would teach this? As I see the Scriptures, man became a living soul when God gave him the breath of life (which shows he was not a soul before this time) – Genesis 2:7 and 1 Corinthians 15:45 both show this. I do not see any indication in scripture that anyone other than Jesus had a pre-human existence. It was also clear that Jesus was a special case, as he himself said he was the only one in John 3:13.
It is possible I’m not understanding your meaning by this.

My dear Joanna, I’m not sure if you are taking exception to TruthPeaceLove’s use of the word “incarnate.” At first it caught me off guard. However, I looked it up and this is what Dictionary.com says:
in·car·nate /adj.–adjective
embodied in flesh; given a bodily, especially a human, form.
She said,”are all things that we agreed upon before we incarnated,…” I see that as …before we were in bodily form.
Hope that helps, I had to look it up as it kinda confused me any way. So maybe that wasn’t it for you, but was for me. LOL
Thank you Tulsigirl, I appreciate the clarification here. I was just confused by the statement that we agreed on this before we were in bodily form, since only Jesus had a pre-human existence, the rest of us did not exist before becoming human.

I believe that God, Heavenly Father, the Source of all things, the Sovereign Creator has given us all free will to experience what we desire to experience. The lessons in ALL of the decisions we make and ALL the experiences we have, are the very things that cause us to continually evolve spiritually. The good things we experience brings us happiness and we feel blessed, which serves to increase our faith in God, goodness, rightness and LOVE. The things we perceive as bad things, serves to make us ask questions, questions about our world our beliefs and ourselves. Often bringing us to the deep, dark places we would rather not go, but never the less, are brought there and we DO question. Nothing is a coincidence, the family we were born into, the experiences that we experience. Even the experiences we have before we have the power to make decisions for ourselves, are all things that we agreed upon before we incarnated, knowing that these very things were the things that would bring us closer to being LOVE. Jesus was the perfect example of LOVE. His perfect example shows us that it is humanly possible to live LOVE, for everyone, at all times. Jesus even LOVED his enemies, forgiving them even while they were killing him. I believe we human beings like to complicate things and really it is quite simple. LOVE. When Jesus was asked by his disciples which of the commandments was most important. The simple answer was to LOVE God with all your heart and to LOVE each other. Simply put, LOVE. If you LOVE, all of the other commandments are automatically kept by virtue of this. Anything and everything can be solved through LOVE. You do not need words to understand LOVE, is the universal language. Many wars and unnecessary destruction, deceit and hatred have been inflicted upon humanity in the name of religion and the need to be right, and for the sake of power. The real power is in LOVE, it can transform any situation! If we have not found inner peace and self LOVE, how can we possibly have peace and LOVE for our neighbor? If we can not find peace and LOVE for our neighbor how will we ever experience world peace? It is through our trials and tribulations that bring us closer to God, and we learn to LOVE ourselves, and thus ultimately able to truly LOVE others. We can go kicking and screaming if that is the way we choose to learn, but learn we will! That is what we came here for. I extend my LOVE to each and everyone of you. I mean no disrespect of your decision to believe what you believe. In fact, it is your God given free will to learn and evolve spiritually in your own manner. My own personal journey has brought me closer to LOVE and my journey much of my learning included learning through religion, trials and tribulations. I do not profess to be perfect like Jesus and some days I am far from it, but I aspire to be. Truth, Peace Love.

I have a question for you – if you say that all wickedness will be destroyed in Armageddon, how do you explain these verses that occur at the end of the 1000 years and not at the beginning:
Rev. 20: 7 When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison,
8 and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore.
9 And they came up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, and fire came down from heaven and devoured them.
10 And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
I believe like you that there will be a great battle on earth at the beginning of the 1000 years when there will be great suffering and loss of life, but there will be a remnant that will survive and, like it says in Zechariah 14:
Zech. 14: 16 Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths.
17 And it will be that whichever of the families of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, there will be no rain on them.
18 If the family of Egypt does not go up or enter, then no rain will fall on them; it will be the plague with which the LORD smites the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.
19 This will be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.
After this battle, the resurrection of the dead will start and the Christ and the Church will reign over the earth to teach the people righteousness and to bring them back to perfection.
Like it says in Rev. 22 – there will be healing going on during the thousand year, since people will be imperfect in the beginning but by the end they will reach perfection:
Rev. 22: 1 Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb,
2 in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

You do not want anyone to make decisions for you. Your relationship with God is personal. We have not tried to subvert your faith on purpose, Jen. John 3:16 says “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising FAITH IN HIM might not be destroyed but have everlasting life. We would never subvert Faith In Jesus Christ. Jen, I know I am correct in that teaching discussed last. The average witness might not be aware that the society teaches as the Bible that the preaching work will have an end. These are some of the things that is the problem since about 1990. We are not thinking. They use the term “Independent thinking”. Jen br. Parkinson once told me “If all persons are thinking alike in an organization of 7million, it is because only one person is doing the thinking”. In this case 9 persons, it is no different than the Catholic Church after which it is fashioned with the different layers. Circuit , District, Zone, Country, Governing Body (Pope). I have been where you are now, and knowing the truth can hurt sometimes. I have been deceived and controlled like some many others since about 1970 when a GB stood in a Holy Place and assumed to rule without Jesus. They say he has appointed them over all his belongings, and you cannot get to Jehovah unless you accept the GB. But we know what the Bible says at at John 14:6 ” Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. i’ve been praying for this . and these answers i want to jump for joy and cry and rejoice and scream and dance i tried to make myself believe this for so long . but i ask to many questions . i have this flaw that i want to know for sure . i cant wholesale believe. it was punched kicked and strangled into me as a kid tried to go back.minded all my p’s and q’s but still . people would talk about my mistakes . why and whos business was it of theirs i’m moral ,i’m clean . they weren’t paying my way i didn’t ask them for anything but brotherly love. meanwhile perverts child abusers drunks and average imperfect sinners who look the part get 10 or more hours read all the books talk the speak are basically have the power and authority. i dont agree with disfellowshiping . i dont think a practicer of gross sin should lead . i dont think that jw’s corner the market on making it thru armageddon , or direction from. I have thought about the tone of what your comments are saying, and I just wanted to clarify my position.
We are not here condenming JW. Before the advent of the governing body, most witnesses asked questons and discussed the Bible. It is just as recent as the 1990 that the GB threatens apostasy claims and subsequent disfellowshipping if you disagree with what they say the scriptural interpretation is. They say even if you know it is wrong and can prove it scriptually wrong, you must teaching it until they change the teaching. We know this was in reference to Ray Franz books where he kept the letters where they admitted the doctrines were wrong but they would change it, but said they would gradually, in say 20-30 yrs time. Ray objected and asked what about the people that will die from not taking blood transfusions? They know they can’t be sued because of the answer yes to the 2 baptism questions. But they have no respect for those lives. That in my opinion is wicked,knowing thousands will die, but you could stop it with one apology and recant.
Other doctrines, they are changing them gradually, when they can just be humble apologize and correct them. Meanwhile many feel they cannot support a system of worship that thinks only of it’s bottom line of money instead of the shepherding of God’s flock.
Please visit a site with all active JW elders and others on it and ask them any questions you may have also. I don’t want to discourage you from interaction with other Christians that think like you. JW and BS can easily interface with each other but not at the expense of hurting one like you.

Jen, clearly fear keeps you from Jesus. Fear no more and read the Bible alone. You will be amazed at what the Holy Spirit reveals to YOU. Jehovah did not set up a two class system. The Society did. If we are truly ” in the truth”, then why are they afraid of self examination?
LOL, People aren’t destroyed at armegeddon recieving the second death as the current JW position espouses, but just as brother Russell taught from the Scriptures, mankind is given a full oppurtunity during the Reign of Christ to prove obedient and faithful. JWs honestly believe their preaching work is what determines who is and isnt a sheep or goat, and that at armageddon God will destroy those who did not become JWs. HOW ARROGANT! And misapplying the Scripture about enduring to the end to JWs instead of the Bride of Christ is just plain sad to me.
