JW Elders Book – “Shepherd the Flock of God” explains Judicial Committee and Disfellowship Procedures

In 2010, a new Elder’s book – “Shepherd the Flock of God” – was released.  You can find a copy by clicking here. A large portion of the book is devoted to the procedure for judicial committees and disfellowshipping.  This book is for elders only, as made clear in Letter to Elders, August 23, 2010, which states: “The information is designed for use by the elders only, and other individuals should not have any opportunity to read the information.”

Sisters are not allowed to even bind it under supervision, as directed in the following quote from the Letter to Elders, October 7, 2010:

“There is no objection if an elder personally spiral binds or laminates his own textbook or does so for other elders. If he has another baptized brother who is not an elder do the work for him, the elder must watch while the work is being done. Outside companies, unbelievers, or sisters are not permitted to do this work. The material in the book is confidential, and confidentiality must be preserved.”

This book is confidential and is not available to the public!

Hello anonymous, the book is available all over the internet. It is also printed with voluntary contributions by a non profit organization. There is no charge for it. Also it has been released to the internet community thru the trials recently in Australia and various brothers out of Bethel.
Could you share your experiences with us please. Thank you. Jacqueline

      Anonymous;
I was a JW Elder and used to wonder to myself “If we have no clergy as is claimed by the Watchtower then why do we have a book that the publisher can’t have”? Take a close look at the early 1st century Christian congregation of anointed christians and ask yourself what examples are there of how congregations handled things? Was just the Elders or was the congregation involved? How were elders selected? As you read the scriptures contemplate these things!

        Kingdom Interlinear Ac 14:23
Having appointed [by extended hand] but to them according to ecclesia older men having prayed with fastings they put beside them to the Lord into whom they had believed.

Bret, those are my sentiments exactly. The elders should not have any books that the regular publishers couldn’t see. That sends a RED FLAG when you hear ones saying sisters especially shouldn’t handle it. I know some will deny this but I published the letter from the society a year or more ago on this thread. If they want to challenge it in court, I will challenge their charity, non profit status.

Can u email me a copy of the ‘Shepherd The Flock Of God’ book too? Just studying and wanting to learn more about the religion and how their pastors are leading them. Thanks.

    • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

Jason they really don’t have pastors. The Flock book is about how they handle problems, disfellowshipping and congregational matters. Their doctrines are spelled out in the watchtower and is constantly changing. Are you aware of their website? Normally a persom studying should ask pertinent questions and see if they are answered or if you are shut down. Sift everything through the Bible. For instance on the blood issue have them explain it to you. Ask how can you take some blood components but not others . Tell us a little about what you see. Thank you

Also, thank you for your good work.

    • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

Hi, plsease I need a copy of the book, but can it be authentic one?how do u manage to get it?because I leant that it is only elders that can get it.please I need it.

    • Jacqueline (Bible Student)

nelson, hello and welcome. This book is printed with voluntary donations and the watchtower society is a non profit. Public non taxed funds printed this to my knowledge. Elders are the ones that posted this on the internet from my knowledge.I t is available all over the internet. There are some changes to some of it’s pages however. I used to post them but they change too often for me to keep up. So let us know if you get it please. But it is everywhere.

I left off attending meetings and field service some years ago and now I am making my way back. But I have go before the elders to ‘confess’ any wrongdoing. But several times I have been asked ‘how many years was I out’ Is there some significance to the time away? I would appreciate a copy of ‘shepherd the flock in your care’ book if you would email it to me please.

    Thank you

    • Jacqueline

Sure Peter, we will email you a copy. But think about what you are saying you are trying to make it back into an organization. You have to confess your sins to a few men and be judged and sit for a year as they want you to prove to them that you can be broken and submit.
You are in a favored position now because you are out, not under their slavish influence. Many have to struggle to just get out.
Let the brothers here help you find Christ.
Do you have family within the witnesses? I know the others will jump in here to help. Is it a spiritual need that makes you want to go back?
Maybe this will help and talk to us there are elders on here to help you: https://www.friendsofjehovahswitnesses.com/2011/10/03/sin-repentence-and-forgiveness-how-you-can-receive-jehovahs-forgiveness/

I would really like a copy of this book. Could you please email me a PDF copy.
    Thanks

Good evening. I have been inactive for a while and am facing a judicial committee meeting in the near future. I don’t want to be blind-sided. Is there any way I can get a copy of this book?

    • Jacqueline

Hi Jay, yes. But if you are inactive do you still attend the meetings? Inactive means you don’t go in field service or door to door. If you don’t then you don’t have to meet with a judicial committe. Judicial is a legal term and it must have legal status to MAKE you attend. Tell us if you will what is going on.
All are learning to just walk away without saying a word to them as they really don’t have any power, only what the few witnesses give them.

    • Shannon

Jay don’t go to meeting walk away

    • Jacqueline

Jay come on and talk with us tonight on the study. Identify yourself as it is a private line and only those who identify will hear you. It’s okay to talk if you want to.
1 (302) 202-1110 pin # 991337. It is the study info posted. Hope to see you.
